2869 <br />RESOLDTION ORDERING STORM SE4~ER Il~PRrOVEMENT OF 1969-1 AND <br />ADTHORIZING VILLAGE CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE TO CONSTR~TCT SAID Il~ROVEMENT. <br />WHEREAS, after due Notice of Public Hearing on the construction <br />of Storm Sewer Improvement 1969-1 for the Village of Falcon Heights, <br />Minnesota, two hearings on said improvement were duly held and <br />the Council.:_heard all persons desiring to be heard on the matter <br />and fully considered the same, and <br />WHEREAS, said improvement is to be made under a cooperative <br />agreement with the Vill,~age of Roseville by the terms of which <br />the Village of Roseville is to contract to construct said <br />improvement, and <br />WHEREAS, an alternate proposal involving the construction of <br />part of said. storm sewer improvement was presented to the Village <br />Council and duly considered, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of <br />the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, as follows: <br />1. That it is advisable, expedient, and necessary that that <br />part of said Storm Sewer Improvement of 1969-1 which provides <br />drainage as shown on Sheet 16 of 23 of the Village of Rosville's <br />plans, be constructed and that it is to include catch basins and <br />~,~~ leads at the intersection of Prior and A~x~umn. <br />2. The Village Clerk and Mayor are hereby authorized to <br />enter into a cooperative agreement with the Village of Roseville <br />by the terms of which the Village of Roseville shall contract to <br />construct said improvement that part of said Storm Sewer Improvement <br />1969-1 herein authorized to be made. <br />Motion was duly seconded by Taylor and the following vote was <br />recorded: Warkentien - Yes, Taylor - Yes, Stone - Yes, Black - Yes, <br />Ecklund - No. Whereupon, the motion was declared passed. <br />Warkentien explained, after the vote was recorded, that his motion to reconsider <br />was based on the almost even split of the home owners and being that it was so close <br />and as a majority of the Council favored it, we should proceed. <br />Henry Dachtera: Taylor moved, Warkentien seconded that Henry Dachtera be authorized <br />to attend the Fifth Annual Emergency Care Seminar at North Memorial <br />Hospital in Robbinsdale for three days and be paid $15.00 per day. <br />No registration fee is required as he will be teaching in the <br />program. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Payment for Last Black moved, seconded by Ecklund that Tina Vavoulis be paid $17.00 <br />Set of Minutes: for the last set of minutes for October 10 and 2?~, 1968 which we <br />received February. l3, 1969. Ayes: Warkentien, Taylor, Black, <br />Ecklund. Nays: Stone. Motion was carried. <br />Street Signs: Stone moved that April 10, 1969 be set as the opening date for <br />receiving bids on new street signs. Mayor Seconded. Motion carried <br />unanimously. Specifications have been written so that bids will be <br />received both on Embossed Steel Street Signs with Beaded Legend or <br />Scotchlite Legend Street Signs. <br />Alleys and Street Stone moved, seconded bar Taylor that the Village Engineer prepare <br />Maintenance 1969: plans and sp ecifications for the 1969 Street Maintenance Contract <br />which will cover the alleys in the Northome Section.
