Engineer Lemberg:
Mr. Joyce:
Councilman Black:
Paul Romanowski
1920 Roselawn:
C. Gustav Hard
1937 Autumn:
Mr. Snyker:
1
1
2862
When this was computed on a point to point basis, it came out to
$1,200 per lot. We can predict how much water will run off.
We know how many calls we have been getting. We have already
had the Maintenance Man out keeping the ditch open. First of
all, we have no place to run the water to. It is not a bunch of
"if!s" because we have the plans and it is not on it.
You have almost 100 opposition. The point is, in my
understanding, that you all have been quite in favor of this.
I have not made up ~ mind.
I can see great problens if that culvert is removed.
Has ar~one pursued the idea of an old culvert under Tatum?
It was brought to ~ attention but I can find no record of it.
The foreman would look for it if someone would show him where
it is.
A list of names was presented to the Council which supposedly showed who Mr. Joyce
was representing.
Councilman Black: Did you indicate that these people would be interested in
something like $200 per lot?
Mr. Joyce: They felt that they wanted to help but not at this expense.
Mayor Warkentien: We have already established a precedent from the NE Storm
Sewer Project for assessment.
Mr. Joyce: This is why Roseville can do it because they are spread over
a large area.
Mayor Warkentien read the napes off the list presented to the Council.
Rev. Storasli I would not have engaged an attorney for this. I don't know
1916 N. Prior: haw my name got on that. Although I am involved, I too turned
to the cost assessment, but I don't know how I got on that list.
Mr. Joyce: Will Rogers asked me to come and I did attend a meeting at
his neighbor's home. I am representing a number of people
but I can't tell you exactly whom.
Wilbur Rogers
19t~7 Autumn: Is there anyone else here who does not want to be on that list?
Joseph Anderson: I am against it.
Mr. Rogers: There axe ten houses on Roselawn between Tatum and Fairview.
Eight of the owners are ~ainst it; the other two, I don't know.
Ed Finegan I didn't authorize it. (The use of his name to engage an attorney)
1918 Roselas~n:
