2080 <br />WHEREAS Dr. Hard has recommended to the Village <br />Council that it is necessary to promptly trim, repair, <br />and remove certain trees growing in the Village of <br />Falcon Heights to forestall the spread of tree diseases <br />Trees including dutch elm disease in the Village <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council <br />of the Village of Falcon Heights, that contract in the <br />form of a letter attached to these minutes be entered into <br />with Roland B. Ford and Northland Tree Service. <br />Adopted this 11th day of March 196l~. <br />Dog Control: It was moved by Mortenson, seconded by Nilsen that the, <br />Village adopt the following resolution regarding the <br />keeping of dogs within the Village: <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Falcon Heights has adopted an <br />ordinance, the Registering and Regulating the Keeping of <br />Dogs - Ordinance No. 39, adopted in said Village April 11, <br />1956, and <br />WHEREAS under the provisions of Section 1!~ of said <br />Ordinance, the Falcon Heights Village Council is authorized <br />to enact a resolution prohibiting for a given time any and <br />all dogs from running a,t large in the Village <br />NOV1, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that any and all dogs <br />are prohibited from running at large in the Village of <br />Falcon Heights from April lst to September 30th, inclusive. <br />A dog is deemed "at large" whenever it is off the <br />property of his owner or keeper and not under restraint. <br />Such dog shall be deemed under restraint only when it is <br />controlled by a leash not exceeding six feet in length, <br />or it is at "heel" beside a competent person having <br />custody of him and. obedient to that person's commands, <br />or within a vehicle being driven or pushed on a public <br />street within the property limits of his owneris premises. <br />An unattended dog on the property of another, without the <br />consent of such property owner is "at large' and not under <br />restraint even though he is on a leash. The motion was <br />carried and the foregoing Resolution was adopted this <br />11th day of March, 196l~. <br />A copy of Resolution shall be sent to the Ramsey County <br />Suburban Life Newspaper, the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and <br />the St. Paul Dispatch and Pioneer Press. <br />Fry Street ~No Tt was agreed that for the time being, and due to conditions <br />Parking' Signss of mud on these roads, that 'NO PARKING signs shall be <br />removed from -the street in front of 1725 North Fry and <br />further north on that street. <br />Planning Commission At 8;00 P.M. Berg, of the Institute of Agriculture <br />and ~fT, Hueg, Asst. Director of Agricultural Experiment <br />Station, and John Libby Secretary-General Manager of <br />the State Fair Grounds will be present. <br />
