The advertisement shall be <br />published for 10 days, shall specify the work to be done, <br />shall state that bids will be opened and considered by <br />the Council at 8:00 P,iaq, on April 22nd, 196?, in the <br />council chambers of the Village Hall, and that no bids will <br />be considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk and <br />accompanied by a cash deposit, cashierts check, bid bond <br />or certified check payable to the clerk for 5 per cent of <br />the amount of such bid. <br />Upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: Nilsen, TRortenson, 'Narkentien, Stone and <br />Black, whereupon said. resolution was declared passed and <br />adopted. <br />1 <br />1 <br />Sweeping of Village Stone moved that the Village Engineer be instructed to <br />Streets - 1961: negotiate for the best possible price for sweeping of <br />streets in the Village when it is f easible to do the Sob. <br />The maximum cost is not to exceed $990. Black seconded <br />the motion, and it was duly carried. <br />Technical Committee - Otto Bonestroo, consulting engineer, advised he has: been <br />Rate Study on Sanitary attending meetings of this committee, representing Falcon <br />Sewers: Heights. One of the purposes of the study is to analyze <br />the entire bookkeeping system of the City of 5t. Paul with <br />regard to sanitary sewers. (Under the Ashbach Bill, the <br />City of Saint Paul is not entitled to any profit from <br />operation of the sanitary sewer system.) The Village of <br />Falcon Heights, if it so desires, may contribute funds <br />toward this study, but is not compelled to do so. <br />Hermes Floral Company - Lembergis letter of T.Zarch 13 was read in which Engineer <br />Sewer rental rates recommends that a one inch meter be installed on the line <br />serving sanitary facilities at Hermes Floral Company and <br />this be used as basis for sewer charges. They have a <br />large size water meter and a high consumption of water, <br />but most of the water is used for watering plants and <br />flowers. Warkentien moved, Mortenson seconded that the <br />matter of changing the water meter at the greenhouse be <br />approved and the City of Saint Paul Water Department be <br />notified of wane.
