2201 <br />Gas Inspectors <br />Plumbing Inspectors <br />Weed Inspector: <br />Police Cor~anissioner: <br />Board of Health: <br />Black moved, seconded by Nilsen that Frank B. Eha <br />be appointed gas inspector. Carried. <br />Stone moved, seconded by '~larkentien that Richard <br />Alquist be appointed Plumbing inspector. Carried. <br />Black moved, seconded by ti~arkentien that William P. <br />Carroll be appointed Weed inspector, Carried. <br />Stone moved, Strand quist seconded that Donald E. Arndt <br />be appointed Police Commissioner. Carried. <br />Stone moved, seconded by Nilsen that Robert Blomberg <br />be appointed to the Board of Health for three years, <br />term to expire December 31, 1967. Carried. <br />Planning Commissi.onx Nilsen moved that George ~f. Plant, ~~.rs. Ralph Hardie, <br />and Gale Libby be appointed to another three year term <br />on the Planning Cormnission, terms to expire December <br />31, 1967. Seconded by Black and carried. <br />Official Depository: Strandquist introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLVED that the Falcon Heights State Bank of Falcon <br />Heights, I~Rinnesota be and is hereby designated as a depos- <br />itory for the funds of the Village of Falcon Heights and <br />that the Village Treasurer is authorized to deposit General <br />Village Funds therein to the amount of forty-five thousand <br />dollars (l~5,000). <br />RESOLVED FURTHER that the present collateral .k:urnished <br />by the Falcon Heights State Bank consisting of forty- <br />thousand dollars 0.0,000) face value of U. S. Government <br />obligations accompanied by an assignment providing that in <br />case of default on the part of the Falcon Heights State Bank, <br />the Council has full power and authority to seal the collateral <br />or so much as may be necessary to realize the full amount due <br />the municipality, is hereby approved, said collateral having <br />a market value in excess of 10~ over the amount of -the above <br />authorized deposit in excess of the amount guaranteed by the <br />Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. , <br />RESOLVED FiJRT~-IER that checks of the Village of Falcon <br />Heights drawn upon the said bank account shall be honored <br />by said bank only if signed by the I~dayor, the Clerk, and <br />the Treasurer of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota. <br />RE86LVED FURTHER that this designation shall be <br />effective until the end of the prQSent ceuncil year. <br />The motion was seconded by Black, and upon a vote being <br />taken, the following voted in favor: Nilsen, Strandquist, <br />Warkentien, Stone and Black, and the following voted <br />against: None. V~Jhereupon said resolution was adopted <br />by the Village Council this 13th. day ~' January 1965. <br />Safety Deposit Box: Motion was made by i~arkentien, seconded by Black to <br />continue renting a safety deposit box at the Falcon <br />Heights State Bank. Carried. <br />Offical Newspaper: Motion made by Black that the Suburban News be retained <br />as the official 1e gal ne~r~p-spar for 1965.
