Motion <br />was carried. <br />Engineer's Report Warkentien moved, seconded by Stone that engineer's <br />Hockey rinks: recommendation to purchase 300 feet of chicken netting <br />for hockey rinks at Falcon Heights School and Idaho-- <br />Snelling as protection from hockey pucks be authorized. <br />Motion carried. <br />Oil Burning Stove Warkentien moved, seconded by Black that Village Clerk <br />Falcon Heights be authorized to purchase oil burning stove for warming <br />School Shelters house at Falcon Heights School grounds. Such purchase <br />shall be made :"for the Falcon Heights School Grounds. <br />Such purchase shall be made from the Falcon Heights <br />Hardware at an approximate cost of X85.00. Ayers All. <br />Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Warming House at Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien that Village Clerk <br />Falcon Heights be authorized to purchase building materials needed for <br />School - Repairs: repair of the warming house at the Falcon Heights School, <br />at a cost not to exceed X39.08. Motion was carried. <br />Tatum Street Drainage: Attorney advised that E. J. Kammer was willing to give <br />Village license to maintain drainage. At the present <br />time, the Village is seeking mandatory injunction to <br />remove obstruction to the natural drainage of graters. <br />This would place maintenance of same in the hands of <br />the property owner. Kammer states that an easement <br />would lower property value and also that if natural <br />drainage were allowed, his basement would be flooded. <br />Mayor Nilsen and Engineer Lemberg have studied the <br />latter, and are of the opinion that inasmuch as he has <br />had no problems with water in the basement to date, it <br />is highly unlikely that he will have any water if the <br />natural drainage of water is allowed. <br />Variance application <br />Arthur S.Jurgenson <br />1707 Tatum Streets <br />Apartment Building <br />Garages: <br />Black introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption. <br />WHEREAS, Arthur S. Jorgenson has made an application <br />for variance and filed the same with the Clerk for the <br />Village of Falcon Heights along with the fee of X5.00 and <br />WHEREAS, the matter has been referred to the <br />Planning Commission for the Village of Falcon Heights, and <br />WHEREAS, said variance requests permission to eon-'_: <br />struct three additional garages in conjunction with <br />apartment building at 1707 Tatum Street. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the Village <br />of Falcon Heights has recommended that said application <br />be denied, <br />NON(, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of <br />the Village of Falcon Heights denies the variance <br />
