2297 <br />~I~~S <br />Sidewalks on Garden <br />Avenue: <br />Rezoning Application <br />1689, 1705, 169 <br />Cleveland Avenues <br />2. Upon acceptance by the County of Ramsey and <br />the Village of Roseville, the Clerk and Mayor are <br />hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf <br />of the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />Motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />seconded by Black and upon a vote being taken, the <br />following voted for same: Nilsen, Strandquist, Stone, <br />Warkentien and Black; and the following voted against: <br />None. Whereupon said resolution was declared passed <br />and adopted. <br />Robert Moore of 1791 Asbury was present to state that <br />consideration should be given to instal ling sidewalks <br />on Garden Avenue. <br />Black stated that the Planning Commission will make <br />recommendation to rezone the third property at 1689 <br />North Cleveland Avenue. <br />Killmer's Nurseries Black read communication from Clarence Lowe, dated <br />Property - 1700 West September 27, 1965, regarding building of apartments <br />Larpenteur Avenues on Killmer Nurseries property. Attached to that letter <br />was copy of Attorney Donald R. Bundlie's letter of <br />July 23 which stated that the University has decided <br />to proceed immediately with the condemnation of the <br />rear 750 feet of the Killmer property. Lowe's letter <br />mentioned the possibility of trading the K311mer <br />property for land to the north which is presently <br />owned by the Univ®rsity. <br />Falcon Heights School Black moved, seconded by Warkentien that the following <br />Skating Rink: resolution be adopted. <br />WHEREAS, the representatives of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights have been in contact with Dr. Emmett <br />Williams, superintendent of Independent School District <br />623, in regard to a ma3or area for skating on the <br />Falcon Heights School property, and <br />WHEREAS, on September 28, 1965 Dr. Williams advised <br />the representatives that the Village of Falcon Heights <br />can utilize an area 30 feet east and 15 feet south of <br />the area previously utilized, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that sub3ect to <br />proper leasing arrangements, the Village Engineer is <br />hereby authorized to arrange for grading of this <br />property for skating purposes, the cost for same to <br />be paid by the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />Purchase of Oil Stone moved that two 265 ga]1on oil tanks for use in the <br />Tanks for Warming warming houses at the Falcon Heights School and the <br />Houses: Falcon Woods playgrounds be purchased.
