2627 <br />Lemberg: Alley will have to be properly graded. Under the <br />rotating maintenance program, the alleys in Northome <br />are improved every four years, that is patching and <br />repairing and seal coating. Since we are within one <br />year of doing alleys, we could take care of alley <br />advantageously when the time comes. We know the <br />drainage is poor, we have other alleys, too. Two or <br />three garages are quite low and we wouldn't want to <br />flood out any driveways or garages. It will be <br />corrected in 1969. <br />Hoyt Avenue Sidewalk Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Hearing <br />Curb and Gutter• was called to order at 9:30 P.M. to hear all persons <br />Improvements present as regards the assessment against abutting <br />(Project 67-3) properties for the improvement known as Hoyt Avenue <br />Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Improvement, Project 67 3. <br />Engineer Lember reviewed project which consists of two <br />separate parts ~l) installation of concrete curb and <br />gutter, and (2) installation of sidewalk and replacing <br />existing sidewalks. Carriage walks were replaced and <br />will be paid for by the Village. Attorney Kyle explained <br />assessment and certification procedures and pertinent <br />facts. <br />Black introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoptions <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENTS FOR <br />Resolution (a) Water Improvements (Sheldon St. & Hamline Ave.) <br />Adopting (b) Street Improvements (Sheldon Street) <br />Assessmentss (c) Street Improvements (Arona Street) <br />(d) Street Improvements (sidewalk, curb and gutter) <br />(Hoyt Avenue) <br />WHEREl~S, pursuant to due notice given as required by <br />law, the council has met and heard and passed upon all <br />objections to the proposed assessments for the 1967 <br />improvements as more particularly described in the <br />notice of hearing on said assessments, and has amended <br />such proposed assessments as it deems just, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council <br />of Falcon Heights, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. Such proposed assessments, as amended, copies <br /> of which are on file jn the Clerk's office and made a <br /> part of these minutes by reference, are hereby accepted <br /> and shall constitute the special assessment against the <br /> lands named therein, and each tract of land therein <br /> included in hereby fotuZd to be benefited by the proposed <br /> improvements in the amount of the assessments levied <br /> against it. <br /> 2. The assessment for Water Improvements (Sheldon <br /> Street and Hamli~e Ave., Ramsey County Auditor No. 673) <br /> shall be payable in 20 equal, consecutive, annual install- <br /> ments. To the first installment there shall be added <br /> interest at the rate of 6~ per annum on the entire assess- <br /> ment from the date of this resolution until December 31, <br /> 1968. To each subsequent installment when due shall be <br /> added interest for one year on all unpaid installments. <br />
