986 <br />Parking lot Larry rliinfrey, 1711 Ingerson Road, as spokesman f'or the group, <br />Falcon stated that ",2ayor Nilsen had been pr~.:~sented a petition for the <br />Heights rezoning of lots 18 and 19 Barthel Villas from "1~ Residential" <br />Cong. Ch. to a parking area. Petition contained 75 signatures out of a <br />possible lU3 or 105. He acid he thought they could have had <br />more signatures that that 75 was well over the required 5U%. <br />He also said it ti^ras their aim to convert these two lots into <br />a parking area j~rithout changing the grade or the water ab- <br />sorption capacity to any great extent. <br />It -,-ras resolved that the petition of the Falcon I-Ieig•hts <br />Congregational Church for the rezoning of lots 18 and 19 :~arthel <br />Villas from "aesidence A" to "!~usiness District for Church Park- <br />ing Purposes Only" be referred to the ~,'i~lage Attorney for <br />checking; and that a hearing on the petition be set for 7 P. <br />~',I. Thursday Evening, Arril 2~th, 1958, in the Council Chambers <br />at the trillage Hall; a.nd that a notice be prepared a~.d published <br />as required by law; and. that the petition be referred to our <br />Planning Commission for study and reco~nmendat,ion prior to <br />hearing, It was moved bSr Nilsen and seconded. by Shavor that <br />the resolution as read be acted on. ~~'otion unanimously carried. <br />Pascal George Guertin, 18l~8 ''o. Pascal said 18-~8, 1852 and 1860 Pascal <br />~wenue were the only three lots on pascal havin~• a d-itch in front of <br />their homes; ditches were hard to keep up; and were being abused <br />by children. He asked if a concrete culvert could be placed in <br />front of lots 10, 11 and 12, ar_d ditches filled up level. <br />Engineer Ljungren advised that pine size for storm sewer had <br />already been determined y'or that area. <br />~ndrevr L. Yeller, 1852 Pascal, said it looked to him like the <br />damage was done vrhen the sewer was put in and. that there was <br />the alternative of putting in culverts or so~?din~. He was <br />told contract does not cover resodding. Plan was to ret~rade <br />the ditches to the bottom of culverts all along Ruggles and <br />Pascal. La°netti is responsible for some of the work of <br />cleaning those ditches. The matter was turned over to Engi- <br />neer Ljungren for further study. <br />"~Tayor IVilsen outlined plans for storm sewer in area, which <br />have been partially completed, and advised that wd will continue <br />to study the situation and plans for financing. He mentioned <br />that we vrill ar~preciate information from the residents of the <br />district. <br />Nick Christensen said the storm sewer on Ruggles should be put <br />in now because the road isn't finished yet. Plilsen said prior <br />to the improvement of I~arnenteur Avenue, we have been unable <br />to drain water out of our area., but now we would be able to. <br />The storm sewer under Larnenteur is sized to meet our req~iire- <br />ments. <br />I~2r. Guertin •3sked if it was perm.issable for the garage at the <br />parsonage to be located on the property line and he was ad- <br />vised that it tin;as being moved as required by the building code. <br />Tex. ti'featherston, 1867 Simpson, asked what disposition was <br />made of drainage on Ruggles -- Lametti rid cut out the sod. <br />engineer Ljungren advised Lametti is to~:clean the ditches out <br />
