<br />Regional Letter to Mayor Nilsen from the Mayor of Stillwater, Andrea
<br />Meeting Madsen, stating they will be hosts for the regional meeting
<br />League of of the League of Minnesota Municipalities to be held at 6:30
<br />Minn. P. M. Thursday, 10/2/58, at the Grand Cafe Club Rooms, Main
<br />Mun. and Myrtle, second floor, was read. After discussion, the clerk
<br />was instructed to make dinner reservations for 8 at X1.75 each.
<br />Drainage Letter of September 15th from Toitz, King, Duvall, Anderson &
<br />Simpson Associates, informing us that correcting the drainage at Simpson
<br />Street & Crawford can only be properly done by storm sealer, was read;
<br />and held for referral to Ljungren.
<br />Schifsky Zt was moved by Warkentien, seconded by Shavor and unanimously
<br />Check voted to return to T. A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. the X10.00 check
<br />they deposited with us to cover alley plans and specifications.
<br />Licenses It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor and unanimously voted
<br />to grant MGI License #119 to Willard Krinkie, Jr., of the
<br />Snelling Company, 1400 St. Anthony Ave., St. Paul, 4.
<br />It was moved by Warkentien, seconded by Shavor and unanimously
<br />voted to grant MGI License #120 to John E. Mitchell, dba the
<br />Mitchell Company, 1669 Selby Ave., St. Paul, 4.
<br />It was moved by Warkentien, seconded by Coppini and unanimously
<br />voted to grant Master Plumber's License #26 to Henry G. Peter, dba
<br />Louis H. Peter Co., 286 So. Snelling, St. Paul, 5.
<br />Mutual Letter from the Village of St. Anthony, regarding afire department
<br />Aid Fire mutual aid agreement was read. It was moved. by titecht, seconded
<br />Assistance by Shavor and unanimously voted to turn the letter over to Warken-
<br />tien who will discuss the matter with Falcon Heights Fire thief,
<br />Gordon E. Nelson, and report to the Council for further action.
<br />Venetian After discussion, it was moved by Varkentien, seconded by Coppini
<br />Blinds and unanimously voted to authorize the clerk to purchase 8 Vene-
<br />tian Blinds, and required fittings, for the Village Hall, after
<br />rechecking three estimates received. The Clerk to use his own
<br />best judgment as to color,
<br />Seger After discussion regarding the possibility and advisability of
<br />Conn. rebuilding the present septic tank into a manhole, the matter of
<br />V. H. & making the sewer connection at the Village Hall and Fire Station
<br />F. S. was referred to Warkentien for checking and as to whether we could
<br />run a pipe through the dry well and then bring it up so it could
<br />be used as a cleanout.
<br />Budget After discussion, it was recommended by Nilsen that we work on
<br />the budget after the other business has been taken care of at the
<br />meeting set for October 6th. If this is not possible, we will have
<br />to set a special meeting for the purpose of determining the budget.
<br />Fund It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by Coppini and unanimously voted
<br />Transfers that the Treasurer be authorized to draw a check in the amoint of
<br />X49.72 on the general account and deposit it to the "Sanitary
<br />Sewer No. 1- Construction Account" at the First National rank, to
<br />correct an error. Also that the Treasurer be authorized to draw
<br />a check in the amount of X651.88 on the general account taking
