~~..~~~ <br />Road & Letter of November 24th from hoard of Ramsey County Commissioners <br />Bridge was read. It. advised our apportionment was ~2,1t70.97 and Treasurer <br />Fund ~ Olsen said he had received this amount. <br />Sanitary Letter of November 18th, sum~±arizing sewer costs was read and <br />Sewer filed. After discussion, it was moved by Coppini, seconded by <br />Costs Nilsen and unanimously voted that Jay ~. Craig Company be paid <br />X3,503.24 from the construction fund account, and that the bal- <br />ance of $~6,l~7I~.71 due the Peter Lametti Construction Company <br />be paid in the following manner: ~k270.00 by applying this amount <br />as the Lametti portion of-the agreement to fix up the Falcon <br />~'doods No. 1 streets, and the balance of ~6,201~„71 by the payment <br />of ~5,625.1~l~ from the Construction Fund Account and tkie payment <br />of X579.27 from the General Fund. <br />It was moved by Coppini, seconded. by Nilsen and unanimously <br /> voted that Toltz, Kings Duvall, l~nderson and Associates be paid <br /> the final ~4,255.51~ after the next meeting, , <br />Sewer Insnec- Let..+,er of November 13th, from Toltz, King' Duvall, Anderson &c <br />tion. Assoeiates~ Inc., reporting on the inspection of the sanitary <br /> sewer system at: the end of one year's service was read, Bert <br /> Slarna~ Village Seger Maintenance Supervisor, reported that they <br /> found a considerable accumhl ation of sand, black top, concrete' <br /> rocks, etc. when flushing the sewers. He attributes this to <br /> the large amount of street work dome this summer, and he reported. <br /> that they are baling this material out and giving! the sewers a <br /> thorough flushing. He does not anticipate so much of this 41foreign <br /> matter" in the future and expects they will be able to finish the <br /> complete flushing of the sewer system this week end if weather <br /> conditions are favorable. <br />Requisition • It was moved by Utecht, seconded by Nilsen and unanimously <br />#15l~ voted that Ib2rs. `stihite be authorized to call Northern States <br /> Power Company and ask that they send a servic® man out to repair <br /> the electric range in the firemen's quarters, <br />Truck R~nta1 Stan Schultz advised. he had a one-ton truck, with steel floor <br />. and sides on which he would carry 50 to 100 thousand dollars <br /> liability and property damage insurances and furnish gasoline <br /> which would be .available any day of the meek until !~ P. IvI,~ or <br /> evenings, by special arrangement, at X2.50 per hour, the Village <br /> to furnish a responsible driver, with a minimum guarantee of 10 <br /> hours, or X25.00 per month -- anything over the ten hours to be <br /> paid for at the rate of :2,50 an hour. The proposal met with <br /> the Councils favorable consideration. It was decidBd to try it <br /> out on a month-to-month basis -- Attorney Graham to first check <br /> into the matter of insurance. <br />Lauderdale The Clerk was instructed ±o provide Sha.y~cr with a copy of the <br />Fire existirng contract which he will study and later ~aiscuss with <br />Contract the proper authorities in Lauderdale. <br />P)JRA Communication of Tovember 1958, from the Minnesota Retirement <br />Study Association, was summarized for the Council by Utecht <br />and filed. <br />Venetian ~ It was moved by Utecht seconded by Nilsen and unanimously voted. <br />3linds that .I~rs, 'r'hite be authorized to order the- repair of one 'olind <br />in the office and two in the dormitory. <br />
