12111 <br />an effort to come to some agreement, with Trustee Shavor <br />representing the Council. <br />It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by '~"~~arkentien and unanim- <br />ously voted that the following men be approved as the <br />committees Leo Ohman, Planning Commission, A. R. Klein and <br />George Kulkay, Petitioners, R. W. Johnson, Architect for <br />Spiegler Construction, Wm. Lindig, land owner, Geo. Shavor, <br />Trustee, and Howard Dahlgren, Planning Consultant. George <br />Shavor is to arrange the meeting for either Monday or VTednesday <br />night - whichever night Dahlgren has free - and notify the <br />other committee members. <br />Hermes Bldg. There was a discussion of the various matters involved in <br />Permit for the granting of a permit for these buildings, after which <br />store, dairy- Utecht moved that the building Hermit requested by N. L. <br />store & car Hermes be granted with the understanding that the water <br />wash: connection for the car wash be made from the new 12'~ main <br /> to be constructed on the north side of Larpenteur and that <br /> part of the assessment for the new main will be against N. L. <br /> Hermes' benefited property. Also that ~:'r. Hermes has agreed <br /> to give the necessary easement ~:cross.,hs.property for the <br /> construction of this main; and to blacktop the area south and <br /> east of the buildings to Village standards; and to provide a <br /> curb as required by the Village Engineer. Seconded by Shavor <br /> and unanimously carried. <br />Planning Nick Christensen, Building Inspector, asked how many members <br />Co~nission: were on the Planning Commission. He was told there were 3 <br /> regular members and a couple ex-officio members. <br />Drainage Engineer Ljungren advised plans were drawn and they were <br />Pascal Rc ready to start the corrective drainage work at the intersec- <br />Idaho: tion of Pascal & Idaho. They feel sure they can take care <br /> of the drainage by raising and lowering grade as required <br /> 100 feet all ~1 ways from the corner. <br />Signs at Coppini read Slama's note describing the dangerous condition <br />Iovra & at the dead end of Iowa and Snelling and Engineer Ljungren was <br />Snelling: authorized to place as many luminous signs as he thought <br />necessary at this location. <br />Hoyt Ave. There was a discussion regarding curbing on the north side of <br />Curbing: Hoyt from Snelling Drive to Pascal. Engineer Ljungren ad- <br />vised that it wouldn't cost much more than X25.00 extra to <br />stake the two blocks than it would to stake just the block <br />from Snelling to Arona. <br />It was moved by V~farkentien that the people on the north side <br />of Hoyt between Pascal and Snelling Drive be permitted to put <br />in concrete curbing at their expense, under the dif~ection and <br />supervision of the Village Engineer - the Village to pay the <br />cost of repairing the Gatch Basin in front of the Gammel res- <br />idenee. Seconded by Shavor and unanimously carried. <br />Fire Dept. After discussions it was moved by Ydarkentien, seconded by <br />Convention Coppini and unanimously voted to authorize the expenditure of <br />Expense: an additional X100.00 by the Fire Department for Convention <br />Expenses. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
