After discussion, ~.Rrs, Zahradka~s letter regarding her coat being <br />Zahradka - torn on one of the trash cans authorized by +.,he Village eras <br />torn coat referred to A++.,orney Graham. <br />Telephone There was a discussion regarding the telephone bill and. +.,he <br />Deputy Clerk was instructed to ascertain the location of the <br />extensions and bells and advise the Council, also to check <br />whether the r^5.00 item was the entire cost of the Civil P.ir <br />Defense ldarning or just the Village share. <br />Watermain It was moved b;,~ Nilsen, seconded by Shavor a.nd unanimously <br />voted that the following resolution be adopted: <br />F4ESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED A.ND ORDERING PREPARATION <br />~OF PROPOSED ASSESS~~:~ENT I,ARPENTEUR AVENUE WATER~~"CAIN AND PL"'ZPIPdG <br />STATION ITi~PROVE'=~?E?~T. <br />WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of Larpen- <br />teur Avenue from Snelling Avenue to a point 726 feet East of <br />the center line of Cleveland Avenue by the extension of a water- <br />main, and the total cost of the improvement, including a pumping <br />stati~~~ is estimated to be X98,000: <br />D10W THEREFOFcE, HE IT RESOLVED BY THE VIII:AGE COUNCIL OF FALCON <br />HEIGHTS, r~,4IAh~ES~~TAs <br />1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is <br />hereby declared to be ~~28,900. <br />2.. The Village Clerk with the assistance of the Village <br />Engineer shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be <br />specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable <br />lot, piece or parcel of land ~rrithin the district affected, vrith- <br />out regard to cash valuation, as provided by laws and he shall <br />file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public <br />inspection. <br />3. The Clerk shall upon the completion of such proposed assess- <br />ment, notify the council thereof. <br />Insurance Utecht advised that we had sent out Specifications for Insurance <br /> and invitations to bid to Hob Johnson, 1883 No. Albert; V+f. A, <br /> i~:iortenson, 1810 Arona; B. C. Kuefer, 1607 Hollyw-od Court; F. <br /> Toussaint, 118 W. Iowa, R. V`lolfgram, 1530 ~l. Iovra, Irwin Herness, <br /> 1963 Carl St.; Harold H. Krinke, Bosshardt-Nelsons Pioneer B1dF,, <br /> St. Paul. The Deputy Clerk was instructed. to send same to Yvm. H. <br /> Hite, 1760 Snelling Drive. <br />Requisition It was moved by Nilsen, seconded by ~'arkentien and unanimously <br />x#159 voted that the Fire Department be authorized to buy 4 Firemen <br /> Rain Coats, 1t pairs of Firemen Rubber 'foots, 6 Spanner carenches <br /> and 3 Spanner belts on the -market if unable to het them through <br /> Civil Defense Channels. <br />Signatures It v~ras moved by Shavor, seconded by Coppini and unanimously <br />Checks voted that H. C. Pdilsen, ~~Tayor; '~~". R.
