New Brighton, 12, <br />Minnesota, 9621,121.00. Bid was accompanied by bid bond for 5~ <br />of bid price. Specified starting date September 19th, comple- <br />tion October 15th, 19260. <br />It was moved by Nilsen seconded by Warkentien and unanimously <br />voted that bids be referred to the Engineer for checking and <br />tabulation. <br />Policing It was advised by Warkentien that Earl Smith had definitely had <br />to say '"No.'" to becoming our third policeman. We do have <br />another prospect, and Don Arndt will arrange a meeting for next <br />week. <br />State Aid Mayor Nilsen read resolution establishing Municipal State Aid <br />Highways Highways, which had been adopted August 25th, to refresh it in <br />the minds of the Council. <br />Sewer Rental Copy of St. Paul's Sewer Ordinance, Council File No. 198585, <br /> was read. <br />Bonds Water- Copy of Attorney Graham's letter of August 30th to County <br />main Improve- Auditor, Eugene Monick, was read. Letter advised he was en- <br />ment of 1960 closing 2 copies of resolution passed August 11th, 1960, re- <br />No. 1. lating to the issuance and sale of X68,000.00 Watermain Improve- <br /> ment of 1960, No. 1 Bonds dated September 1st, 1960 and levying <br /> taxes for the payment of principal and interest thereof. He <br /> also enclosed original and two copies of County Auditor's <br /> .Certificate as to Tax Levy and Bond Registration and requested <br /> that all bonds are entered on the bond register and that the tax <br /> required by law is levied and made as required by law. He <br /> noted that in Monick's letter of August 23rd, 1960, to Wm. R. <br /> Utecht, Clerk of Falcon Heights, he reported that their records <br /> showed that the tax levy for the bond debt of Falcon Heights of <br /> the year 1960, collectible in 1961, was as follower <br /> Description .Amount of 1960 Levy <br /> Larpenteur Avenue Vdatermain and Pump.. <br /> Station Improvement Bond Series '"A" $ 2,500,00 <br /> Sanitary Sewer System Improvement #1 20,776.25 <br /> He also stated that we have checked our records and find that when <br /> the X1500.00 levied for 1960 in the enclosed resolution is added <br /> to the above figures, they will be accurate. <br />Bids on repair Bonestroo reported: Low bid is ~11,6t~7.00. Our estimate was <br />of streets dis- 9610,500.00, or reasonably close to that. We are going to ex- <br />turbed by Water- cavate the trench and vibrate it and then bring in Class 5 <br />main Improvement material. It is going to be pretty much a patch fob. Prices <br />1960 No. 1. are a little higher than we could expect. If we waited until <br /> Spring, we could possibly do a little better, but I doubt <br /> whether the Council would like to do that in view of the com- <br />
