1528 <br />Watermain Graham reported that School District #623 contends it is <br />Improvement not benefitted by the ins±,allation of the watermain on <br />1960 No. 1. Ruggles. They Village Council feels they are being <br /> benefitted including the installation of the hydrant at <br /> Ruggles and Albert which gives them fire protection right <br /> at their back door, and also that the future expansion <br /> would have to be toward Ruggles and it would. be to their <br /> advantage to be able to get their additional water supply <br /> from the main on Ruggles, Attorney Graham will contact <br /> Attorney Lofftsgarden of the School District. <br />Streets Lemberg was authorized to order the necessary culvert'to <br /> be delivered at the location of the walkway on Pascal, <br /> North of Ruggles. Also the necessary dirt. Slama will <br /> shape it up and sod next spring, <br /> After discussion, Warkentien moved that the engineer make a <br /> complete survey of the manholes in the Village, and that he <br /> be authorized to order the necessary material and proceed <br /> to bring the manholes to grade. Seconded by Coppini and <br /> carried. <br />Coppini moved that the Engineer be authorized to arrange <br />with Northern States Power for the installation of an arc <br />light on Holton at the walkway at approximately Ruggles. <br />Seconded by Shavor and carried. <br />Watermain Imp. Nilsen moved payment of bill M-20902 from the Board of <br />1960 No. 1. Water Commissioners of St. Paul, covering water services <br />installed, in the amount of ~15,~09.90, which has been <br />recommended for payment by the Village Engineer, out of the <br />Watermain Improvement 1960 No. 1 Construction Fund. <br />Seconded by Shavor and carried. <br />Streets, Lemberg's letter to the Chief Engineer, Street Department, <br />Nortnome St. Paul, was read. It called attention to the intersection <br /> at Hamline and Idaho advising that this is a commercial <br /> corner and the poor condition of the street is a great <br /> hinderance to business. He also called attention to the <br /> poor work done to repair the intersections along Hoyt <br /> after the storm sewer installation and asked that they be <br /> returned to the condition that they were in before construc- <br /> tion. <br />Christmas After discussion, Shavor moved that a permit be granted R. L, <br />Tree Permit Cotten Associates, 121 Laurel Avenue, to sell Christmas <br /> Trees on the lot between the alley and Vleber's Cafe, facing <br /> Snelling Drive, provided all unused trees and debris will be <br /> removed by December 31st. Seconded by Warkentien and carried. <br />License All requirements having been me.t, r.~aster Plumber's License <br /> #59 was issued to George Dixon, Dixon Plbg. & Heating Co., <br /> 1603-1~th Avenue, N.
