<br /> mitting his resignation effective October 1st, 1961. After
<br /> discussion, it was moved by Warkentien, seconded by Shavor
<br /> and unanimously voted that the Village Council regretfully
<br /> accepts the resignation of Paul L. Coppini, As Trustee, effective
<br /> October 1st, 1961. Coppini submitted the names of the following
<br /> men he feels are qualified to serve as Trustee, and who might
<br /> be interested. Herb. Richards, Richard Ahmann, Edw. Wolkerstorfer,
<br /> Willard Bell, James McGuire, Alfred Fleury, Donald Thomas and
<br /> Robert Blomberg.
<br />Electrical. Coppini reported Jos. Steirnrorth advised that a friend of his,
<br />Inspector Robert Cartier, Garden 9-!tl~la.3, was interested in the position
<br /> of Electrical Inspector for the Village of Falcon Heights.
<br /> The Council will contact Ed Salverda, presently serving as
<br /> Electrical Inspector for Roseville and other adjoining
<br /> communities to see if he is interested in doing the inspections
<br /> for Falcon Heights, feeling that Salverda is working in the
<br /> vicinity and it might be more convenient for him to handle the
<br /> work.
<br />Attorney's Attorney Galvin reported on beer license matters at the Fair
<br />Reports Grounds.
<br /> He also reported it is illegal to pull out and stop across
<br /> the sidewalk line at an intersection, and anyone doing so is
<br /> subject to a fine.
<br /> Galvin reported it is permissable for a private employer to
<br /> hire an off-duty policeman to regulate traffic, During this
<br /> period, the policeman would be an employee of the private
<br /> employer subject to same liability as for their other employees.
<br /> The Fire Department's Blue Manual specifies that applicants
<br /> for membership in the Volunteer Fire Department should, first,
<br /> make out an application; second, have a physical, and, third
<br /> ,
<br />be approved by the Council and Fire Department, thus becoming
<br /> a member in good standing subject to a 30 day trial period.

<br /> RESOLUTION DECLARING COST 30 BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARA-
<br /> TION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT:.
<br /> WHEREAS a contract has been let for the improvement of Arona
<br /> Avenue between Larpenteur Avenue and Crawford Avenue, by C. S.
<br /> McCrossen, Inc., of A~inneapolis, Minnesota, and the contract
<br /> price for such improvement is $21,021.80, less change order of
<br /> ~62,355.0o for a net of ffi18,669.80, and the expense incurred or
<br /> to be incurred in the making of said improvement amounts to
<br /> approximately X1,051.211 dollars, and of this cost the village
<br /> will pay 17,732.07 dollars as it's share of the cost, NOW
<br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF FALCON
<br /> HEIGHTS, MINNESOTAa
