17111 <br />1 - 1962 Ford Galaxie Tudor, Police Guardian Special, complete <br />to attached specifications 562727.00 <br />Lesss 1961 Ford ("As-Is" condition), <br />SN 1P31W13947? 1100.00 <br />Net cost 1627.00 <br />Delivery 30 to 45 days. <br />Bid was accompanied by a Certified Check in the amount of <br />$300.00, and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Midway Ford Company, 1850 University <br />Avenue, St. Paul, !~, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible <br />bidder <br />NOW THEREFORE, the Mayor and ~~lerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a purchase agreement with Midway Ford <br />Company of St. Paul, in the name of the Village for the t~ur- <br />chase of said Police Car according to the specifications <br />a~?oroved by said Village Council. <br />(2} The Village Clerk is authorized to hold the deposit of <br />the successful bidder until such purchase agreement has been <br />executed. <br />The above resolution was moved by Warkentien, seconded by <br />Stone and carried. <br />League of 'It+PO representatives of Unit 3 of the League of Women Voters <br />Women were present. Mayor Nilsen advised them that Leo J. Fleet, <br />Voters: Falcon Heights' Director of Civil Defense, would like a state- <br />ment from the League of Women Voters up-holding Civil Defense <br />which he could incorporate into a letter he intends to send to <br />each home-owner in the Village. Mrs. Johnson said she would take <br />the matter up with Mrs. Jenkins who is to take office as <br />President of the League of Women Voters and she is sure P~tr. <br />Weet will hear from Mrs. Jenkins. <br />Audit: Mortenson movedthat the Village engage the firm of Haskins- <br />Sells to make an examination of the Village Books for the <br />year 1961, and that. they begin the examination April 16, 1962. <br />Seconded by Stone and carried. <br />Grade, Mr. Bruncke's letter regarding the grade of Albert Street, <br />Albert St. and correspondence from the engineers pertaining to same, was <br />turned over to Attorney Galvin. <br />Smoke- It was moved by Warkentien, seconded by Stone and voted that <br />Eater: the subscriptions to the Smoke-Eater be continued for those <br />individuals listed. <br />Traffics Mr. 'gown who lives at Asbury and Garden was present to re- <br />quest that the Council do something to discourage the flout and <br />seed of traffic on Garden Avenue which he says has doubled in <br /> <br />
