MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 14, 1986 <br />PAGE 3 <br />RECONSTRUCTION OF HAMLINE AVENUE, HOYT TO LARPENTEUR AVENUES AND ALLEY <br />SOUTH OF LARPENTEUR (ALBERT TO HAMLINE) APPROVID - RESOLUTION R-86-24 <br />Schunieht presented, reviewed, and explained costs allocated to the city <br />in the proposed reconstruction of Hamline Avenue and the alley south of <br />Larpenteur, Albert to Hamline, (as outlined in his report dated May 7, <br />1986, a copy of which is on file in the Clerks Office). Following a <br />discussion regarding whether or not to include the alley in the project <br />Council concurred the alley should be part of the project. Chenoweth <br />moved, seconded by Hard, adoption of Resolution R-86-24 which carried <br />unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-86-24 <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE RECONSTRUCTION OF HAMLINE AVENUE, HOYT <br />TO LARPENTEUR AVENUES, AND ALLEY BETWEEN LARPENTEUR AND <br />CALIFORNIA AVENUES, HAMLINE TO ALBERT <br />PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL OF PROPOSED RESOLUTIONS R-86-25 AND R-86-26 <br />RELATING TO TRANSFER OF CABLE TV FRANCHISE <br />Ron Eggert, Cable Commissioner for Falcon Heights, presented and explained <br />the proposed resolutions, and recommended adoption of both resolutions, <br />R-86-25 transferring the franchise to a consortium of Pive experienced, <br />financially sound cable operators, R-86-26 denying transfer from the <br />consortium to North Central Cable Communisations, L. P. due to that <br />firmsts reluctance to provide requested financial information. <br />Hard moved, seconded by Ciernia, adoption of Resolution R-86-25 which <br />carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-86-25 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF GROUP <br />W CABLE, INC. <br />Hard moved, seconded by Ciernia, adoption of Resolution R-86-26 which <br />carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-86-26 <br />A RESOLUTION DENYING THE REQUEST TO TRANSFER OWNERSHIP <br />AND CONTROL OF GROUP W CABLE OF THE NORTH SUBURBS, INC. <br />AND TRANSFER OF THE CABLE COMMUNICATION FRANCHISE <br />ORDINANCE TO NORTH CENTRAL CABLE COMMUNICATIONS, L. P. <br />PARTIAL ABATEMENT OF SANITARY SEWER PENALTY, JOHN HURRAY, 174 ARONA <br />Council discussed a request from John Murray, 1741 Arona, to abate the <br />sanitary sewer penalty as the last statement was the third one received <br />which was addressed incorrectly. Ciernia moved, seconded by Chenoweth, <br />abatement of the $2.11 penalty but leaving the original penalty of $2.09 <br />in place. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Barnes explained that the cost of the new city hall sign authorized at the <br />last meeting was incorrect, and is $1,000 more than indicated, after which <br />Chenoweth moved, seconded by Wallin that the additional $1,000 expenditure <br />be authorized.
