MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JULY 9, 1986 <br />PAGE 3 <br />ORDINANCE 0-86-13 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9-14.01, SUBD. 25, HOME <br />RELATING TO HOME OCCUPATIONS <br />REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT FOR MUFFLER REPLACEMENT FROM MAR% F. SUPPES, <br />1885 TATUM <br />Baldwin presented a letter from Mark Suppes, 1885 Tatum, requesting the <br />City reimburse him the amount charged for muffler replacement ($53.69) as <br />he alleged the damage was caused by improper construction of his <br />driveway. Following a discussion Chenoweth moved, seconded by Wallin, <br />that Mr. Suppes be reimbursed for 50¢ of the amount as the muffler was <br />five years old. Upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor <br />thereof: Baldwin, Wallin, Ciernia, and Chenoweth, and the following voted <br />against the same: None. Hard abstained. Motion carried. <br />SIDEWAL% ON HAMLINE, IDAHO TO IOWA, TO REMAIN INTACT <br />At the June 25th E.M. Ahlberg, 1340 W. Idaho, and P.M. Kingsley, 1341 W. <br />Iowa, had requested removal of the sidewalk on Hamline running Prom Idaho <br />to Iowa, and Council had directed staff to request input from residents. <br />After reviewing the response from residents (all responders were in favor <br />of having the sidewalk remain) Wallin moved, seconded by Hard, denial of <br />the request Por removal. Motion carried unanimously. <br />ESTIMATE TO BE OBTAINED ON EXTENSION OF HAMLINE SIDEWALK (IDAHO TO <br />LARPENTEUR) <br />Since a number of residents had commented on possible extension of the <br />sidewalk Prom Idaho to Larpenteur, Ciernia moved, seconded by Wallin, that <br />an estimate of costs to extend the sidewalk be obtained for further <br />discussion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />DESIGNATION OF STREETS TO BE POSTED "NO PAR%ING" DURING STATE FAIR <br />Hard moved, seconded by Ciernia, the following streets be posted "No <br />Parking" for the duration of the State Fair: (1) All of Northome <br />Addition, waterside, (2) All of Hollywood Court including alley, (3) St. <br />Marys, Fry, Maple Knoll Drive and Garden Avenue west of Snelling on both <br />sides, (4) North of Larpenteur, between Snelling and Hamline running to <br />Roselawn, except Holton, Albert and Sheldon north of Ruggles, water side, <br />(5) Tatum 1,300 feet north of Larpenteur, (6) Lindig Street on water side <br />including the cul-de-sae, and (7) Larpenteur Avenue from Snelling to <br />Cleveland.
