MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />AUGUST 27, 1986 <br />PAGE 2 <br />SUBDIVISION REQUESTS FROM IRENE MACGREGOR, 1795 FAIRVIEW, AND SPING LIN, <br />1785 FAIRVIEW, REFERRED TO PLANNING COMMISSION, CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC <br />HEARING BEFORE COUNCIL SCHEDULED FOR 9/2+/86, 8:00 P.M. <br />Baldwin presented subdivision requests from Irene MacGregor, 1795 <br />Fairview, and Sping Lin, 1785 Fairview, after which Hard moved, seconded <br />by Wallin, referring the requests to the Planning Commission, scheduling <br />continuation of the public hearing before Council for September 24, 1986 <br />at 8:00 P.M, and authorizing publication of the same. <br />IRENE MACGREGOR, 1795 FAIRVIEW, informed Council she, the Lins, and <br />Behrens have made an offer to the owner of the one foot strip needed for <br />Lindig St. extension, and have given him 10 days in which to reply. <br />PROPOSED CHANGES IN CODE RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES DEFERRED TO <br />9/ 10/ 86 <br />Schroeder presented a proposed ordinance amending the section of the code <br />relating to alcoholic beverages and explained the changes are necessary to <br />be in compliance with recent changes in state statute. Council briefly <br />discussed the matter after which Baldwin recommended any member with <br />questions relating to the proposed changes submit them to the city <br />secretary who will in turn refer them to the attorney. The matter will be <br />placed on the September 10th agenda. <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO WILLIAMS PIPELINE ADOPTED <br />Wallin moved, seconded by Hard, adoption of Resolution R-86-31. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-86-31 <br />A RESOLUTION RELATING TO WILLIAMS PIPELINE COMPANY AND <br />THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, OFFICE OF <br />PIPELINE SAFETY <br />PRECINCT 2 POLLING PLACE CHANGED TO FALCON HEIGHTS UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST <br />Baldwin explained the facility at Como Park Lutheran Church is no longer <br />available for Precinct 2 polling place and arrangements have been made to <br />move Precinct 2 to Falcon Heights United Church of Christ. Hard moved, <br />seconded by Chenoweth, adoption of Resolution R-86-32. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />RESOLUTION R-86-32 <br />A RESOLUTION RELATING TO CHANGING THE PRECINCT POLLING <br />PLACE FOR PRECINCT N0. 2 OF THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE RELATING TO IMPOUNDING OF VEHICLES ADOPTED <br />Baldwin explained when the code was re-written this particular section was <br />not amended to correspond with Section 7-1.02, Subdivision 2(h) of the <br />code, and the wording should be changed to be in compliance with the <br />intent of the code. Chenoweth moved, seconded by Hard, adoption of <br />Ordinance 0-86-1~4. Motion carried unanimously. <br />61 <br />
