Alley means public right-of-way giving secondary access to abutting property.
<br />Amusement devices means any game of skill or chance requiring the payment of money to
<br />play or operate.
<br />Amusement establishment means any building, area, or place whose principal purpose is
<br />providing entertainment derived from the operation of amusement devices.
<br />Animal unit means a unit of measure used to compare differences in the production of
<br />animal wastes which has a standard as the amount of waste produced on a regular basis by a
<br />slaughter steer or heifer.
<br />Animals, domestic pets means dogs, cats, birds, and similar animals commonly kept in a
<br />residence. Animals considered wild, exotic or nondomestic, such as bears, lions, wolves, ocelots,
<br />and similar animals shall not be considered domestic pets.
<br />Animals, farm, means cattle, hogs, horses, bees, sheep, goats, chickens and other animals
<br />commonly kept for commercial food-producing purposes.
<br />Antenna means equipment used for transmitting or receiving telecommunication, television,
<br />or radio signals, or other electromagnetic waves, including but not limited to directional
<br />antennas, such as panels, microwave dishes, and satellite dishes and omni-directional antennas,
<br />such as whip antennas.
<br />Antenna, commercial means any pole, spire or structure, or any combination, to which an
<br />antenna is, or could be, attached, or which is designed for an antenna to be attached, and all
<br />supporting lines, cables, wires and braces erected for the commercial use of information.
<br />Antenna, satellite dish means a parabolic-shaped antenna (including all supporting
<br />apparatus) used for receiving television signals, which is located on the ground or exterior of, or
<br />outside of, any building or structure.
<br />Apartment means a room or suite of rooms with cooking facilities designed to be occupied
<br />as a residence by a single family.
<br />Apartment building. The term "apartment building" means a multifamily dwelling that may
<br />be owner occupied or rental, including condominiums and cooperatives.
<br />Apparel and accessory stores means retail stores primarily engaged in selling new clothing,
<br />shoes, hats, underwear, and related articles for personal wear and adornment. Uniform stores,
<br />furriers, and custom tailors carrying stocks of materials are included.
<br />Applicant means any individual, partnership, corporation, association, society or group
<br />seeking and/or receiving a special event permit from the city.
<br />Area, net developable means those lands within a development parcel remaining after the
<br />deletion of floodplains, wetlands, slopes greater than 12 percent, and unbuildable easements or
<br />rights-of-way.
<br />Attorney means the city attorney of Falcon Heights.
<br />Auto or motor vehicle reduction yard means a lot or yard where one or more unlicensed
<br />motor vehicles, or the remains thereof, are kept for the purpose of dismantling, wrecking,
<br />crushing, repairing, rebuilding of parts, sale as scrap, storage, or abandonment. (See also

<br />Automobile repair establishments means establishments primarily engaged in general
<br />automotive repair, including the installation, repair, or sale and installation of automotive
