enforcement of the Minnesota State Building Code, or his or her duly authorized representative. <br />Building setback means the minimum horizontal distance between the building and the lot <br />line. <br />Building setback line means a line within a lot parallel to a public right-of-way line, a side or <br />rear lot line, a bluff line, or a high water mark or line, behind which buildings or structures must <br />be placed. <br />Business means any occupation, employment, or enterprise wherein merchandise is <br />exhibited or sold, or where services are offered for compensation. <br />Cable and other pay television services means establishments primarily engaged in the <br />dissemination of visual and textual television programs, on a subscription or fee basis. <br />Establishments which are primarily engaged in cable casting and which also produce taped <br />program materials are included. <br /> <br /> Cannabis retail establishment means a cannabis business with a license or endorsement <br />authorizing the retail sale of cannabis flower, plants, cannabis products, and lower-potency <br />hemp products. <br />Carport means an automobile shelter having one or more sides open. <br />Cellar means that portion of the building having more than one-half of the clear floor-to- <br />ceiling height below the average grade of the adjoining ground. Underground buildings that meet <br />all other requirements of the building code shall not be considered cellars. <br />Church means a building, together with its accessory buildings and uses, where persons <br />regularly assemble for religious worship and which building, together with its accessory <br />buildings and uses, is maintained and controlled by a religious body organized to sustain public <br />worship. <br />Club or lodge means a nonprofit association of persons who are bona fide members paying <br />annual dues, and the use of their premises being restricted to members and their guests. Serving <br />of alcoholic beverages to members and their guests may be allowed providing such serving is <br />secondary and incidental to the operation of a dining room for the purpose of serving food and <br />meals. <br />Commercial art services means establishments primarily engaged in providing commercial <br />art or graphic design services for advertising agencies, publishers, and other business and <br />industrial users. <br />Commercial automobile repair means the replacement of any part or repair of any part <br />which does not require the removal of the engine head or pan, engine, transmission, or <br />differential; incidental body and fender work, minor painting and upholstering service when said <br />service is applied to passenger automobiles and trucks not in excess of 7,000 pounds gross <br />vehicle weight. <br />Commercial food producing farm operations. See Farm, rural. <br />Commercial photography services means establishments primarily engaged in providing <br />commercial photography services for advertising agencies, publishers, and other business and <br />industrial users. <br />Commercial recreation means bowling alley, cart track, jump center, golf, pool hall, vehicle <br />racing or amusement, dance hall, skating, tavern, theater, firearms range and similar uses.
