Seconded <br />St Paul. by Henry and so ordered. <br />Ramsey County In reporting on attending meetings oP the Ramsey County <br />Planning Commia~fon Planning Commission, Shavor briefly reviewed the Commission's <br /> work and suggested it may be desirable to set up a looal <br /> planning commission Por the Village to supplement our membe r- <br /> ahip on the Ramsey County Planning Commission. <br />Stepladder Stewart moved that the Fire Protection committee be authorized <br />ordered. to purchase an 8-foot stepladder in acoordance with their re- <br /> quest. Graham, Attorney <br />(arrived 8:45 pm) <br />Meeting called to order at ?:40 pm., and minutes of February 21, 1950 meeting approved <br />as read. <br />Larpenteur- Attorney Hammond, oP Briggs, Gilbert, Morton, Kyle and <br />Snelling bus Macartney, reported that he toad attended the hearing before <br />service the State Railroad and Warehouse Commission, Thursday, <br />February 28, 1950, that the Street Railway Company informed <br />the Commission they were entering a petition for discon- <br />tinuance of the bus line bet~-een Larpenteur and Snelling, <br />and that the hearing on the petition to abandon servi ce on <br />the Snelling avenue bus route has been continued indefinitely. <br />Attorney Hammond said that a hearing scheduled Por Maroh 6, <br />1950, will be on a proposed increase in rates and that he <br />will keep in touch with this matter. Mr. Hammond also ex- <br />pressed the opinion that the determination of the hearing on <br />the proposed increase in rates would very likely put an end <br />to consideration of discontinuing service, for the reason that <br />if an increase in fare is granted, the Street Railway Company <br />will probably be willing to operate some of the stub lines at <br />a~ lose. <br />i <br />1 <br /> <br />
