~~ <br />Communications: The Mayor read a letter from the Youth Conservation Commission, <br />(aont'd) dated May 9, 1950, regarding "Recreational Resources of the <br />people of Minnesota," dealing with a survey made by the <br />Governor's committee on recreation last fall. <br />Dachtera bill Chairman Arndt, of the Public Safety Committee, and Palice <br />for policing. Officer, Henry Dachtera, appeared before the council in <br />connection with police service calla handled by Dachtera <br />from December 19, 1949 to May, 1950, amounting to X27.74, <br />including a X9.00 shortage for patrol service .prior to <br />December, 1949. On recommendation of Chairman Arndt, <br />Rekstad moved payment of the bill. Shavor seconded and <br />motion carried by unanimous vote. <br />30-mile speed Chairman Arndt reported he had tried to contsct Seaborn about <br />limit and placing of 30-mile speed limit signs between Larpenteur and <br />Village sigga Hoyt, but that the latter was out of town. Also reported that <br />Village boundary signs would be installed by Decoration Day. <br />Eureka Hose Treasurer Van Hoven will contact the Eureka Hose Company <br />Co. bill to see if they will agree to s deferred plan of payment <br />of their bill for 1,500 feet and 700 Peet of Fire Hoae, <br />amounting to X2,528.00, and still allow 2~ discount. <br />Streets to Mayor Henry reported that Street Commissioner Seaborn has <br />be cleaned. ordered cleaning of streets to assure drainage in the sent <br />of rain. <br />Copy of signed Stewart was requested to see Fire Chief Swanson about secur- <br />Volunteer Fire- ing a copy of Volunteer Firemen's signed payroll to be <br />men's payroll attached to the Clerk's verified account record each month. <br />for clerk's record. <br />Meeting with Attorney Graham said he had contacted Mr. Nieman about arrang- <br />Magee requested. ing a meeting with ~Talter Magee, and read Dopy of Cdr.
