<br />Crossroads N. L. Hermes appeared before the council to inquire what
<br />Addition had been done regarding Fry. street. As stated by letter to
<br />him previously, Mr. Hermes was informed that the surveyor
<br />had been asked to show a 60-foot roadway for Fry street,
<br />in e~ccordance with our Planning Commission's recommendation.
<br />Stenzinger moved that the Village attorney be asked to advise
<br />Mr, Carley that Carley is to act as Village engineer in
<br />connection with the improvement of Fry street. Hustrulid
<br />seconded and motion carried unanimously.

<br />Gas Installations Village gas inspector E.D. Larson reported two gas installations
<br />without license by unlicensed installers, one in Maple Knoll including snitch-
<br />over from bottled gas to natural gas, and the installation
<br />of a gas furnace at 1879 Simpst~j by Boehm Heating Company of
<br />Minneapolis. After discussion, Stenzinger moved that our
<br />attorney write the Boehm Heating Company, advising that they
<br />must take out a license and secure a Hermit covering the
<br />installation at 1879 Simpson and that failure to do so gill
<br />be prosecuted under the ordinance. Shavor seconded and
<br />motion carried unan imously.
<br />Boulevard Building Inspector Christensen reported on staking out of
<br />trees boulevard trees on Holton from Garden to Roselawn.
<br />Tree Street Commissioner Seaborn reported that a cottornaood tree
<br />removal on Holton south of Roselawn was in such condition as to be
<br />a public safety hazard and recommended its removal. Hustrulid
<br />moved that the street commissioner get bids on cost of removing
<br />the tree and to report back to the council. Stenzinger seconded
<br />and motion carried unanimously.
<br />Fire Department The clerk was asked to get two or three bids on cost of printing
<br />rule book a revised edition of a booklet on fire department organization
<br />and rules.
<br />Village Hall Hustrulid reported that a rough estimate on cost of installing
<br />improvement a ceiling in the Village Hall with cork wood and finish on
<br />sidewalls, would be 961,600. After discussion, Hustrulid
<br />moved that C.K. Otis be asked to prepare. plans and specifi-
<br />cations. for the whole job, including heating changeover.
