<br />was ordered approved on motion by Hustrulid, seconded by
<br />Cartwright.

<br />Setback for Letter of October 27 from Robert L. Johnson, 1508 'Rest Como
<br />Johnson home Avenue, St Paul, about his plans to buildia~ a home on Lot
<br />approved. 20, Midway Plains, at the northeast corner of Holton street
<br />and. Garden avenue, with the proposed home facing on Garden
<br />avenue. ?fir. Johnson, who was present, requested. permission
<br />to make set-back from Garden avenue 27 or 28 feet rather than
<br />30 feet. Mr. Johnson said that a 30-foot setback would bring
<br />the home within 6 feet of t. he north lot line, and in discussing
<br />the matter with the owner of the property immediately adjacent
<br />on the north, it was agreed that an additional two or three
<br />feet would alleviate an appearance of congestion. Attorney
<br />Graham advised the council that as long as Air. Johnson complied.
<br />with the 30-foot setback from Holton street and with the sideyard
<br />provisions of the ordinance, that building permit could be issued.
<br />Boulevard Letter of October 18, 1954, from John Schultz, S35 Harrison
<br />trees - trimming Avenue, St Paul, offering to trim boulevard trees in Falcon
<br />Heights, cleaning up and hauling all brush away, for :2.00
<br />per tree. 1~'~r. Schultz also stated he is fully covered by
<br />insurance. After discussion, Shavor moved that our Street
<br />Commissioner be requested to prepare a map of the Village,
<br />showing the location and number of boulevard trees with
<br />recommendation as to streets on which tree trimming should be
<br />done with the view that, said trimming be done at one time on
<br />an assessment basis. Seconded by Stewart and carried unanimously.

<br />minutes and recom- weed with respect to sanitary sewer, informal ballot on
<br />mendations municipal liquors store, enrollment from University Grove and
<br />Veteran housing units. Also read was the committee's recorrLmendation
<br />that an informal ballot on the municipal store question be taken
<br />at the general election, November 2, 1954, and the committee's
<br />recommendation that the council and legislative committee meet
<br />with representatives of Orr engineering firm in connection with
<br />a further discussion of sanitary sewer.
