<br />Advisory Ballot Letter of December 22, 195~t from the League of ?~innesota
<br />on OASI supple- ~,gun~:cipalities as to proposed advisory ballot on 9oeial
<br />mentary coverage Security supplementary coverage for Minnesota public employes,
<br />together with Attorney Graham's letter of January 3, 1955,
<br />and letter of December 21, from the Public Employees
<br />Retirement representatives in this connection. After some
<br />discussion, Stenzinger moved that the council indicate it
<br />is in favor of the proposed OASI legislation and separate
<br />referendum for the employes of each municipality, and that
<br />the Clerk be authorized to check and return the advisory
<br />ballot accordingly. Seconded by Hustrulid and motion carried
<br />unanimously.
<br />Annual Report of Fire Chief Swanson's letter of January 1~, 1955, submitting
<br />Fire Department Annual Report of the Fire Department as required for 1951,
<br />together with an inventory of the department, was noted by
<br />the council.

<br />Village Assessor Letter of January 12, 1955 from Vrilliam Torgerson, Village
<br />Assessor for the past six years, was read, recommending
<br />thet the council recommend to the County Assessor the
<br />appointment of Elmer B. Rowley as Village Assessor, Mr.
<br />Torgerson stating that. he was unable to continue as assessor
<br />because of illness. After discussion, Cartwright moved
<br />that the council recommend the appointment of Elmer B. Rowley
