Torgerson, <br />Assessor (cont'd). expressing the council's thanks and appreciation for his good <br />work as Village assessor during the period served. <br />Legal newspaper The following resolution was moved by Stewart, seconded by <br />Cartwright, and adopted unanimously: <br />RESOLVED, That the Rose Tribune, a legal newspaper of <br />general circulation in the Village of Falcon Heights be and <br />it-herby is designated as the official newspaper of the <br />Village of Falcon He~.ghts, in which shall be published such <br />ordinances and other matters as are required by law to be so <br />published, and such other matters as the council may deem it <br />advisable and in the public interest to have published in this <br />manner for the year 1955. <br />Bank Depository The following resolution was moved by Shavor, seconded by <br />Hustrulid and adopted unanimously: <br />RESOLVED, That Falcon Heights State Punk of Falcon Heights, <br />'~~innesota, be and hereby is designated as a depository for <br />the funds of the Village of Falcon Heights, and that, the <br />Village Treasurer is authorized to deposit Village funds <br />therein to the amount of forty-five th%>usand dollars(°'~Zt5,000,00). <br />RF~SOLVED FURTHER, That the present collateral furnished by <br />Falcon Heights State Ban'.~c, consisting of forty thousand dollars <br />00,000.00) face value, of U,S. government obligations, <br />accompanied by an assignment providing that in case of default <br />on the part of Falcon Heights State Bank the council has full <br />poi^rer and authority to sell the collateral or so much as may be ` <br />necessary to realize the full amount due the municipality, is ` <br />hereby approved, said collateral having a market value in excess <br />of the amount guaranteed by the Federal 7eposit Insurance <br />Corporation. <br />RESOLVED FhRTHER, That checks of t:he Village of Falcon Heights <br />drawn upon the said bank account shall be honored by said bank <br />only if signed by all three of the followine: Robert E. <br />St:enzinger, P~ayor; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk; and uJilliam E, Olsen, <br />Treasurer. <br />RF~SOLVED FURTYER., That this designation shall be effective only <br />until the end of the present council year, and that a copy of <br />the resolution duly certified by the Clerk be delivered to the <br />Falcon Heights State Bank. <br />Village Attorney Stenzinger moved that the firm of Briggs, Gilbert, Morton, Kyle <br />and t~?acartney, of St Paul, P~~innesota, be engaged as attorneys <br />for the Village for 1955• Seconded by Cartwright and motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />
