~- - <br />594 <br />Associated joined Mr. Julen in telling the council that some of our <br />Investors businesses had indicated they would move elsewhere if <br />rezoning proper building facilities were not, provided for them. <br />After discussion, Cartwright moved that the council approve <br />the portion of the Associated Investors, Inc. petition <br />Apx~roval voted dated Belay 6, 1955, for rezoning Tract 1, and reject that <br />for rezoning portion of the petition for rezoning Tract 2, Seconded dY <br />Tract 1 Shavor and the following vote taken and recorded: <br />Ayes: Stenzinger, Shavor, Hustrulid, Cartwright, Stewart <br />Nays; None <br />The motion was declared passed .by a unanimous vote. <br />Ordinance No. 35 In order to provide for the rezoning of Tract 1 as requested <br />in the Associated Investors, Inc. petition of B."ay 5, 1955, <br />Cartwright moved adoption of ORDINANCE N0. 35, AN ORDINANCE <br />Ar~ENDING THE ZONING ~~~AP Cfy~ ICH IS A PART OF ORDINANCE N0. 8. <br />Seconded by Stenzinger and the following vote taken and recorded: <br />Ayes: Stenzinger, Shavor, Hustrulid, Cartwright, Stewart <br />Nays: None <br />The ~4ayor declared Ordinance No. 35 adopted by a unanimous <br />vote and ordered publication of same. <br />Vacation - The proposed 1955 vacation schedule signed by the Fire Chief <br />firemen and the other two full time firemen, with request they be <br />authorized to relieve each other as suggested during such <br />vacations, was considered, Hustrulid moved an~roval of <br />the proposed vacation schedule and the request of the <br />three firemen to relieve each other as suggested, with the <br />understanding that such relief work be paid for at the rate <br />of 3285.00 per month. "aagnuson, <br />15Lt0 West Iowa Avenue for extension of the water main west <br />on Iowa Avenue about 75 feet to permit of a water main connection <br />for Lot 13, Block 8, Northome Second Addition, were considered. <br />Shavor moved that we recom~-end to the Board of Water Commissioners, <br />City of St Paul, that the requests be a,~proved, provided the <br />said. property owners have this done at no cost to the Village <br />of Falcon Heights. Seconded. by Cartwright and Notion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Maple Knoll Village Engineer Carley's letter of June 20 advising the <br />streets need of additional gravel in the finishing of streets in <br />the Maple Knoll Addition, was read. Street Commissioner <br />Seaborn reported he had been requested by +,he State to <br />provide for a dip at the entrance from IlRaple Knoll streets <br />to Snelling avenue on the west side of Snelling so that <br />drainage water on the Maple Knoll road would not run onto <br />Snelling Avenue, Our Attorney was requested to contact <br />Mr. Carley regarding both matters. <br />
