Co., repair fluorescent fixture, #6.00 <br />Nor.States Power Co., water heater elec.,lID 12, ~3.l~6 <br />n n n n elec. sere. , 10-12, ~16.7lt <br />n n n n street lighting, 10-12, ~90.W <br />Street bill After considering further payment on street bill covering <br />work performed by the County during May 1955, Hustrulid <br />moved that an additional payment be made on said bill in <br />the amount of #l~,OOU.OU, and that a letter be sent with the <br />check, requesting statement showing the balance due on our <br />` street account. <br />Water main In connection with extending the water main on west Iowa to <br />extension, supply Lot 2, Block 10, and Lot l3, Block t3, Northome Second <br />West Iowa, addition; the Clerk reported that the City Water department, <br />costs St Paul, had informed him the cost of the extension, not <br />including blacktopping, was $1170.88, which when deducted from <br />the X700.00 would leave a balance of $229.12 to be refunded <br />to the Village. The Clerk reported the County planned to do <br />the blacktopping within a week or 10 days at an estimated <br />cost of ~15U.u0. <br />Gage Constr, Co. Mr. B. L. Gage, of the Gage Construction Company, 17 Loring <br />re central water Road, Minneapolis l6, appeared before the council relative <br />supply to his Company's plans to build 26 homes in the area west <br />of Tatum street along Roselawn avenue. Mr. Gage said the <br />FHA favored a central water supply for these homes arras <br />presenting the matter to the council for that reason. After <br />discussion, Shavor moved that in regard to a central water <br />system for the proposed homes that Mr. Gage be advised by <br />letter that the Council does not favor a central water system <br />and considers it impracticable for a project of this size. <br />Seconded by Cartwright and motion carried unanimously. <br />Permit for Building Inspector Christensen presented application from the <br />billboards Naegle Advertising Company, Inc., 3338 University Avenue S.E., <br />denied Minneapolis, for permission to construct two bill boards on <br />the National Tea Company parking lot next to Snelling drive. <br />After discussion oP applicable ordinance provisions, Shavor <br />moves that said applicatio~be aenieu. Seconded by Cartwright <br />and motion carried unanimoushy. <br />`. <br />
