Treas., street work, Dec., $636.61 <br />Skating Cartwright reported that the completed skating rink at <br />rink the Falcon Heigh is grade school is being used more than <br />expected and that the Volunteer firemen Have been very <br />helpful in keeping the rink flooded. <br />Acting Mayor Nominations for the office of Acting Mayor for 1956 were <br />called for. George Shavor was nominated, There being no <br />further nominations, George Shavor was declared duly appointed <br />to the office of Acting Mayor for 1956. <br />Bank Depository <br />The followi ng resolution was moved by Cartwright, seconded <br />by Shavor and adopted unanimously: <br />RESOLVED, That Falcon Heights State Bank of Falcon Heights, <br />Minnesota, be and hereby is designated as a depository for <br />the funds of the Village of Falcon Heights, and that the <br />Village Treasurer is authorized to deposit village funds <br />therein to the amount of forty-five thousand dollars (~1t5,000.00). <br />RESOLVED FURTHER, That the present collateral furnished by Falcon <br />Heights State Bank consisting of forty thousand dollars <br />(~1~0,000.00), face val ue, of U.S. government obligations, <br />accompanied by an assignment providing that in case of default <br />on the part of Falcon Heights State Bank the council has full <br />power and authority to sell the collateral or so much as may be <br />necessary to realize the full amount due the municipality, is <br />hereby approved, said collateral having a market value in excess <br />of 10~ over the amount of the above authorized deposit in excess <br />of the amount guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance <br />Corporation. <br />RESOLVED FURTHER, That checks of the Village of Falcon Heights <br />drawn upon the said bank account shall be hoaored by said bank <br />only if signed by all three of the following: William~~ Utecht, <br />Mayor; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk; and William E. Olsen, Treasurer. <br />RESOLVED FURTHER, That this designation shall be effective <br />only until the end of the present council year, and that a copy <br />of the resolution duly certified by the Clerk be delivered to <br />the Falcon Heights State Bank. <br />
