6~3 <br />Village Attorney Stewart moved that Briggs, Gilbert, Morton, Kyle and Macartney <br /> be engaged as our Village attorneys for the year 1956. Seconded <br />' <br /> by Cartwright and motion carried unanimously. <br />Rusting places On motion by Shavor, seconded by Nilsen, the following <br /> posting places were designated for 1956: <br /> (1) Blomberg's Store, Iowa and Hamline avenues <br /> (2) National Tea Store, Larpenteur and Snelling avenues <br /> (3) Gibbs School, Cleveland and Larpenteur avenues <br />Council <br />meetings On motion by Utecht, seconded by Cartwright, it was w ted <br /> unanimously that regular meetings of the council be <br /> held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, in <br /> the Village Hall, beginning at 7:30 P.I., with provision <br /> that if the meeting date falls on a legal holiday that the <br /> meeting be held on the next secular day. <br />Safety deposit Cartwright moved that the Village continue renting a safety <br />box deposit box at the Falcon Heights State Bank at a rental of <br /> $5.00 per year.. Seconded by Dtecht and motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br />Village Assessor Shavor moved that the council recommend the appointment of <br /> Elmer B. Rowley as Village assessor and that the County <br /> Assessor's office be so advised. Seconded by Nilsen and <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br />Building Inspector- After discussion, Nilsen moved the appointment of Nick <br />Street Commissioner Christensen as Building Inspector and Street Commissioner <br /> for 1956. Seconded by Stewart and motion carried unanimously. <br />Public Safety Utecht moved to appoint as members of the Public Safety <br />Commission- Commission, Milton H. Bohn, Don Arndt and Neil Gordon for <br /> the year 1956. Seconded by Shavor and motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br />Police Supervisor Cartwright moved that Don Arnd be appointed Public Safety <br /> Supervisor for the year 1956. Seconded by Nilsen and motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br />Legal Newspaper The following resolution was adopted by a unanimous vote ~I <br /> on motion by Stewart, seconded by Cartwright: <br /> RESOLVED, That the Rose Tribune, a legal newspaper of general • <br /> circulation in the Village of Falcon Heights be and it hereby <br /> is designated as the official newspaper of the .Village of <br /> Falcon Heights, in which shall be published such ordinances <br /> and other matters as are required by lavr to be so published, <br /> and such other matters as the council may deem it advisable and <br /> in the public interest to have published in this manner for <br /> the year 1956. <br />Planning Commission " <br /> In connection with vacancy on the Planning Commission as of <br /> December 31, 1955, Shavor moved appointment of Lorris Williams <br /> as a member of said Commission for a term of three years <br /> , <br />commencing January 1, 1956. Seconded by Stewart and motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br />
