~~(~~ <br />.:Resolution Thereupon, .the following resolution was moved by Cartwright, <br />seconded by ~~~~and adopted by a unanimous vote: <br />RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with Leslie H. Johnson Heating <br />Company, of St Paul, Minnesota, in the name of the Village of <br />- ,Falcon Heights, for remodeling of the Village Hall heating system <br />according to the plans and specifications heretofore approved by <br />the Village council and filed in the office of the Village Clerk, <br />according to Alternate No. 1 for the total-price of #1,035.00. <br />RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Village Clerk is hereby authorized <br />and instructed to return to the unsuccessful bidders their checks <br />or bid bonds. <br />Election After discussion of a proposal to have three election districts <br />Districts for the next Gene ral Election instead of two election districts <br />increased as at present, and on motion by Shavor, seconded by Cartwright, <br />the following resolution was adopted by a unanimous vote: <br />Resolution RESOLVED, that the Village of Falcon Heights be divided into <br /> three election districts for the next general election, one <br /> district to be composed of that portion of the Village located <br /> west of the cen ter line of Snelling Avenue, with voting place <br /> for the district to be at the Village Hall, 161G1~ West Larpenteur <br /> Avenue, to be Imown as District No. 1; one district to be <br /> composed of that portion of the Village located east of the <br /> center line of Snelling Avenue and south of the center line <br /> of Larpenteur Avenue, with voting place for this district <br /> also to be at the said Village Hall, to be known as District <br /> No. 2; and one district to be composed of that portion of the <br /> Village located east of the center line of Snelling Avenue <br /> and north of the center line of Larpenteur Avenue, with <br /> noting place for this district to be at the Falcon Heights <br /> School, 1393 Garden Avenue, to be known as District No. 3; <br /> and that the Village Clerk be directed to notify the County <br /> Auditor and post the necessary notice as required by law. <br />Applebaum parking Building Inspector Christensen presen ted application for permit <br />sign. and plans for the installation of a parking sign at the entrance <br />on Larpenteur Avenue to the new shopping center. Cartwright <br />moved approval, seconded by Nilsen and motion carried unanimously. <br />Remodeling for <br />Beauty shop Application for permit to remodel the store space ad3acent to <br />National Tea Store on the east for a Beauty Shop eras also <br />submitted by the building inspector together with plans. <br />After discussion, Shavor moved that the building inspector <br />be authorized to issue the permit for remodeling at 15117 Larpenteur <br />Avenue West fora beauty shop. Seconded by Utecht and motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Street map Mr. V.L. L~ungren, of the Village Engineer's staff, submitted <br />a Village street map which had been prepared in the Village <br />Engineer's office. After discussion, Cartwright moved tha t <br />Trustee Shavor be authorized to order twenty-five of the street <br />maps when he is satisfied that the original tracing meets our <br />requirements. Seconded by Utecht and motion carried unanimously. <br />
