e14.. <br />Johnson Heating Bill for remodeling of the Village Hall from the Leslie <br />Co. bill H. Johnson Heating Company, based on the contract price <br />(remodeling of X1,035.00, was discussed with the Village attorney. <br />On motion by Utecht, seconded by Stewart, it was voted <br />V.H. heating) unanimously to make payment of 85 per cent of the <br />contract price, subject to checking of the heating system <br />and approval by Trustee Nilsen and Building Inspector <br />Christensen, it being understood that balance of the <br />contract price will be paid when final completion of the <br />contract is accepted by the council. <br />U.Bf M.condemnation Gregory Keller, 1038 N. Avon, St Paul, appeared before <br />proceedings, Kelle r the council and reported that John J. Keller and <br />properties. Christine R. Keller had received notices from the University <br />of Minnesota that the University was going ahead with <br />condemnation proceedings against the Keller's Larpenteur <br />Avenue properties, and that a court hearing on the matter <br />would belheld on September 19,E 19 6Jn~~,fter discussion, of <br />the matter, Mr. Keller informe~~e owners would go ahead <br />with the street lay-out plan for development of the property. <br />Treas. reports on Treasurer Olsen reported that the Falcon Heights State <br />~5,21~5.50 deposit Bank had not credited the Village account for an August 23 <br />deposit of $5,215.50, and that he had called this to the <br />bank's attention and that the bank acknowledged receipt of <br />the money and promised to credit the Village account in <br />September. <br />Cities Service Oil Building Inspector Christensen reported that the Cities <br />Co. sign Service Oil Company proposed to put ~ip a sign, 11 ft. <br />high by 8 ft. wide, on its filling station area at <br />Larpenteur and Snelling avenues. After discussion, Utecht <br />moved that the matter be referred to our Public Safety <br />Supervisor to see if any traffic hazard is. involved. <br />Seconded by Stewart and motion carried unanimously. <br />Letter requesting After discussion, Utecht moved that a letter be written <br />U.•of M. to meet to Mr. Middlebrook, of tkie University of Minnesota, with <br />with council & copies to President Morrill of the University and Senator <br />Senator Andersen Elmer L. Seconded by Nilsen and motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Ramsey County Letter of August 28, 1956, from Sheriff Gibbons, asking <br />radio system - how many units our Village would hook into the proposed <br />1 hookup for Ramsey County radio system if an agreement on cost is <br />Village reached. Utecht moved that the Sheriff be informed <br />that our Village is interested in one hookup. Seconded <br />by Nilsen and motion carried unanimously. <br />Tree Trimming Mr. John Schultz, 217 N. Snelling, St Paul, reported that <br />at the request of the council he had examined the trees in <br />the Northome area of the Village and that in his opinion <br />the cost to trim the boulevard. trees would vary from X2.00 <br />to X12.00 per tree, with possibly some trees that need no <br />
