~{ 4 4 <br />r~~ <br />Insurance <br />bids <br />In connection with bids received November 1lt, 1956, from <br />seven agencies on Village insurance coverag® as follows: <br />1 <br />1 <br />1. Comprehensive General Liability Insurance <br />2. Comprehensive Automobile Liability Insurance <br />3. Workmen's Compensation Insurance <br />1~. Fire, Extended Coverage, Vandalism and Malicious <br />Mischief Insurance. <br />Trustee Cartwright summarized the bids and reported the <br />law bidders as follows: <br />Coverages 1 and 2 -Mutual Service Casualty Insurance Company <br />represented by Mr. Irwin Harness <br />Coverage 3 - Bosshardt-Nelson and the Wolfgram Agency both <br />representing the Iowa National Mutual Insurance Co. <br />Coverage !~ -Keller Corporation representing Casualty <br />Underwriters. <br />Following a discussion, Cartwright moved that the Comprehensive <br />Coverage 1 and 2 General Liability Insurance and Comprehensive Automobile <br />awarded. Liability Insurance be given to the Mutual Service Casualty <br />Company represented by Mr. Irwin Harness, and that limits of <br />liability be set at X100,000, X500,000-and X25,000., and that <br />we ask for a policy with-three-year advance premium on <br />comprehensive general liability. Stewart seconded and motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Coverage 3 Utecht~moved, seconded by Cartwright, that coverage No. 3, <br />awarded Workmen's Compensation Insurance be awarded to Bosshardt- <br />Nelson Agency, representing the Iowa National Mutual Insurance <br />Company. Motion carried unanimously. (As per flipping of <br />coin agreed to bq Bosshardt-Nelson and Wolfgram Agency <br />representatives) <br />Coverage !t Nilsen moved, seconded by Stewart that Coverage !~, Fire, Extended <br />awarded Coverage, Vandalism and Malicious Mischief Insurance be awarded <br />to The Keller-Corporation represent~.itg::~he Casualty Underwriters, <br />Inc. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Uasuccessfl:l Cartwright moved that the successful bidders be notified by <br />bidders checks the Clerk with request that a wtitten binder on each coverage <br />ordered returned be furnished by December 1, 1956, and that certified cheeks <br />of the unsuccessful bidders be returned. Seconded by Shavor <br />and motion carried unanimously. <br />X5,500 sanitary Letter of November 21, 1956 from To1tz,King,Duvall,Anderson <br />sewer engineering and Associates, Inc., advising as to substantially completing <br />fees authorized preliminary work in connection with the proposed aanitarg <br />- sewer system, with the request that the council authorize <br />increasing of preliminary fees to a total of X5,500. <br />Cartwright moved that we authorize said fees to a total of <br />X5,500. Seconded by Utecht and motion carried unanimously. <br />
