6 c~ <br />Bank Depository The follo*ri.ng resolution Was moved by Shavor, seconded by Nilsen <br />and adopted unanimously: <br />RESOLVED, That Falcon Heights State Bank of Falcon Heights, Minnesota, <br />be and hereby is designated as a depository for the funds of the <br />Village of Falcon Heights, and that the Village Treasurer is authorized <br />to deposit village funds therein to the amount of forty-five thousand <br />dollars (~l~5,~.~)• <br />RESOLVED FURTAF~t, That the present collateral furnished by Falcon <br />Heights State Bank consisting of forty thousand dollars ($l~0,000.00), <br />face value of U,S. Government obligations accompanied by an assign- <br />went providing that in case of default on the part of Falcon Heights <br />State Bank the council has full polder and authority to sell the <br />collateral or so much as may be necessary to realize the full amount <br />due the municipality, is hereby approved, said collateral having a <br />market value in excess of 10~ over the amount of the above authorized <br />deposit in excess of the amount guaranteed by the Federal Deposit <br />Insurance Corporation. <br />RESOLVED FURTHER, That checks of the Village of Falcon Heights <br />drawn upon the said bank account shall be honored by said bank <br />only if signed by all three of the following: William R. Utecht, <br />Mayor; Clyde J. Stewart, Clerk; and William E. Olsen, Treasurer. <br />RESOLVED FURTHER, That this designation shall be effective only <br />until the end of the present council year, and that a copy of the <br />resolution duly certified by the Clerk be delivered to the Falcon <br />Heights State Bank. <br />Village attorneys Nilsen moved that Briggs, Gilbert, Morton, Kyle and Macartney, of <br />St Paul, be engaged as our Village attorneys for the year 1957. <br />Secorxied by Shavor and motion carried unanimously. <br />Posting places On motion by Shavor, seconded by Nilsen, the following posting places <br />Were designated for 1957 <br />(1) Blomberg's Store, Iowa and Hamiine Avenues <br />(2) National Tea Store, Larpenteur ar~d Snelling Avenues <br />(3) Ealcon~Heigflts Pharmacy, Snelling and Larpenteur Avenues <br />Council meetings On motion by Nilsen, seconded by Shavor, it Was voted unanimously <br />that beginning January 21~, 1957, that regular meetings of the <br />council be held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, <br />in the Village Hall, beginning at 7:3O P.M., With adjournment at <br />11:00 P.M., with the provision that if the meeting date falls on a <br />legal holiday that the meeting be held on the°next secular day.' <br />Safety deposit Warkentien moved that the Village continue renting a safety deposit <br />box box at the Falcon Heights State Bank at a rental of X5.00 per year. <br />Secorrled by Utecht and motion carried unanimously. <br />Village Assessor Shavor moved that the council recommend the appointment of George <br />Townsend as Village assessor and that the County Assessor's office <br />be so advised. Seconded by Nilsen and motion carried unanimously. <br />Building Inspector- Nilsen moved the appointment of Nick Christensen as Building <br />Street Commissioner Inspector and Street Commissioner for 1957• Seconded by Stewart <br />and motion carried unanimously. <br />
