,.y ~ r <br />t~ <br />Allotment- Letter of January 15, 1957, was read advising that the <br />County Road & Board of County Commissioners had this year authorized <br />Bridge fund. an apportionment of X2,527.55 in the County's Road and <br />Bridge Fund to Falcon Heights. <br />League legislative Letter of January 18, 1957 from the League of Minnesota <br />conference & 3 Municipalities, calling a special legisl ative conference <br />resolutions of the League for 2 P.M., Friday, Feb. 8, 1957, at the <br />Lowry Hotel, St Paul, for the purpose of considering three <br />legislative resolutions: (1) Traffic Safety (2) Pension <br />Study and (3) P.E.R.A. - O.A.S.I. Combination, was read. <br />After discussion, Trustee Warkentien agreed to represent. <br />the Village at the February 8 conference. <br />Sanitary Sewer Letter of January 23, 1957, from Mr. A.M. Steffes, of our <br />matters Sanitary Sewer Engineers, was read, relating to matters <br />pertaining to the sanitary sewer program to be considered <br />by the councils such as sewer rental rates, sewer maintenance, <br />passage of ordinances for licensing sewer contractors and <br />for installation of house connections, material to be used, etc. <br />soil borings, street resurfacing program. <br />Payment The matter of payment to Toltz, King, Duvall, Anderson ?~ Associates <br />discussed was discussed. Bdr. Steffes stated it was agreeable with the <br />engineering firm to wait until the first money was available <br />under the bond issue before making payment. <br />Contract. read The Bdayor then read the proposed contract paragraph by <br />& ordered paragraph, and matters pertaining to it were fully discussed <br />executed for with Mr. Steffes and with the Village Attorney. Qn motion <br />Village by Shavor, seconded by Nilsen, the following resolution was <br />adopted by a unanimous vote: <br />Resolution RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk be, and they hereby are, <br />authorized to execute on behalf of the Village <br />the form of contract.. submitted by Toltz, King, Duvall, Anderson <br />Associates, dated December 26, 1956. <br />Sewer matters In connection with matters which were discussed and which must <br />for council be determined by the council in connection with the sanitary <br />sewer system, it was agreed that Mr. Steffes would furnish each <br />member of the council with copy of a letter summarizing such <br />items. <br />Zoning map After discussion, Stewart moved that Trustee Shavor be authorized <br />to have a tracing made of the street map for the purpose of <br />bringing our Village zoning map up to date. Seconded by Warkentien <br />and motion carried unanimously. <br />Fire Inspections Fire Chief Grumke's letter of January 23, 1957, was read with respec <br />to scheduled fire inspections. He stated that each of the three <br />paid firemen spend an average of 56 hours per week on watch, <br />that inspections are made at least twice a year as required by <br />ordinance, that the Village is divided into four sections for <br />the purpose, and that each fireman alternates between sections, <br />inspecting two at a time. The Chief also stated the firemen <br />should be compensated for the additional time required for <br />inspections. <br />
