<br />Alley account Trustee Nilsen reported that Stan Seaborn had made further
<br />collections towards clearing up the balance of X42.31 dwe~^~he
<br />Village for work done on the alley between Iowa and Idaho
<br />from Albert to North Pascal. Seaborn, he said, indicated
<br />the account would be cleared up soon.
<br />Governor's conference The Mayor reported on attending a conference of suburban
<br />and Advisory Committee representatives, mostly mayors, held at the request of
<br />Governor Freeman on January 15. He said that a committee was
<br />set up to advise the Governor on suburban problems, and that
<br />villages could write to the Governor's Advisory Committee
<br />regarding any special problems. The Mayor said indications
<br />were that action Gould be taken on public utility rate
<br />differentials in the suburbs, on traffic matters, setting up
<br />of business research grid development programs and for easing
<br />of the school tax burden in suburban areas.
<br />Metropolitan In connection with the Metropolitan Planning Commission bill;
<br />Planning Commission the following resolution was, on motion by Shavor, seconded
<br />Bill by Warkentien, adopted by a unanimous vote:
<br />Resolution WHEREAS, there is a great need for general city
<br />type planning on a metropolitan area basis in the TRi.n
<br />Cities' area; and
<br />WHEREAS, there is need for coordination of planning
<br />among the many municipalities in the area, especially
<br />as relating to roads, sewers and other inter-related
<br />services; and
