<br />letters Civil Defense, State of Minnesota, were read relative to
<br />(1) Cpetation Alert 1957 and (2) State Air Defense Warding Test;
<br />also letter from Kermit Hedman about Civil Defense dance, May 1,
<br />at New Brighton.
<br />Northome Shopping Copy of letter of April 2lt, 1957, from Don Julen, of Northome
<br />Center property Shopping Center, Inc., to Caretaker, Center Manor,~Inc. 153lt
<br />N. Snelling, and nearby 1llest Idaho Avenue residenta, was read,
<br />asking that no debris be dumped on property which xas being
<br />improved in accord with the Shopping Can tar's agreement with
<br />the council.
<br />Reduction in Mr. Steffes' letter of April 22, 195?, with respect to
<br />assessable the reduction in assessable frontage xas read, indicating
<br />frontage, San. that the estimated frontage December 1956 xas 73,340 feet,
<br />Sewer SyAt. Impvt. and the estimated frontage less deductions, 70,202 feet,
<br />No. I, Part I The letter suggested that the assessable cost per front foot
<br />on the basis of the new frontage be determined after bids
<br />are received on April 30 and constructions costs are known.

<br />Maple Knoll Attorney Graham reported on meeting with the Board of Water
<br />water connections Commissioners, St Paul, on Tuesday, April 23, 1957, attended
<br />also by Yager Utecht and Messrs. Korstad and Spring, relative
<br />to additional water connections in Maple Knoll requested by
<br />the Cardinal Construction Company. He said the Board agreed
<br />to hold up the matter for a week, giving the residents an
<br />opportunity to get together with the contractor. The indication,
<br />he said, xas that the Board at that time would issue the permits.
<br />Rubbish and Letter xas read from Mr. Barton Zadegian, of Long Beach, Calif.,
<br />Garbage collection relative to his interest in establishing a rubbish and
<br />inquiry garbage collection service in Falcon Heights, and his request
<br />for copies of our ordinances, in this connection. The Clerk
<br />xas asked to acknowledge Mr. Zadegian's le tter and to inform
<br />him xe have no Village ordinances on this matter.
