~3~i <br />Inventory of The Mayor submitted an inventory of Parks & Playground <br />Parks & Playground equipment, dated May 10, 1957, from B. J. Rechtien$ <br />equipment Chairman, Parks & Playground Committee, showing said <br />equipment to be at four locations; 15lt2 Nest Idaho, <br />Mr. Kaechele; 11173 lest Idaho, Boh Reber; the Fire Hall, <br />16l~l~ W. Larpenteur; and Falcon Heights Playground. <br />Tape Recorder, After discussion of the matter, Utecht moved that the <br />amplifier, etc. V.M. Tape Recorder, Heath Kit., Amplifier, 2 P.A. Speakers, <br />at 1173 Idaho 1 Microphone, and 50 ft. Twin lead cord, be covered under <br />our insurance policy at 11173 Test Idaho. Seconded by Shavor <br />and so ordered. The Clerk was asked to check with the <br />insurance company to see if the equipment should be listed. <br />Police squad Police Commissioner Arndt reported on taking the police <br />car service policy, squad car to Clayton Anderson Motors, North Branch, for <br />also siren the 1,000 mile check up, and that the service policy provides <br /> for taking the car to any authorized dealer. Arndt said <br /> he would contact the Fire Chief to see if a 12-volt siren <br /> would be suitable for fire engine No. 2 so that the No. 2 <br /> fire engine's siren can be installed on the squad car. <br />Speed limit On the recommendation of Police Commissioner Arndt for <br />on alleys limiting of the speed limit in alleys, Utecht moved that <br /> the Minnesota Highway Department be requested to establish <br /> a 15-mile per hour top speed limit on all alleys located <br /> within the Village of Falcon Heights, and that the Clerk <br /> be authorized to write the Commissioner of High~rays, advis- <br /> ing him of the passage of this resolution. Seconded by <br /> Nilsen and motion carried unanimously. <br />Firemen to call Nilsen reported that at the fire in the commercial area <br />Sheriff in occurring before 10 A.M., May 10, there was no police <br />em®rgencies officer on hand to take care of the traffic. Arndt <br /> explained this was because no call was put out by the <br /> Fire Department for an officer from the sheriff's force, <br /> Arndt also explained that our part time policing is <br /> arranged so as to cover the heaviest traffic period and <br /> need for it. Nilsen was asked to arrange with the Fire <br /> Department to call the sheriff's car in similar emer~,encies <br />Abolishment Police Commissioner Arndt said that after considering the <br />of Constable question, it was fits recommendation that the office of <br />office recommended. Constable in our Village be abolished. Shavor moved that <br /> the Village Attorney be requested to draw up a proposed <br /> ordinance for abolishing the office of Constable as provided <br /> for iri Chapter 137 of the Laws of Minnesota for 1957. <br /> Seconded by Warkentien and motion carried unanimously. <br />Bills: On motion by Utecht, seconded by Shavor, the follo~+ring <br /> bills were. ordered paid: <br /> Clayton Anderson Motors, oil grease & keys, police car, $11.50 <br />Ramsey Co.
