Arndt during May in addition to his <br />Police Comr., regular duties, the extra time estimated at 12 hours being <br />authorized used in connection with the purchasi:ag and installation of <br /> nevr equipment on the police car as detailed in the letter. <br /> After discussion, Shavor moved that payment for the extra <br /> time be authorized at X2.00 an hour. Seconded by Warkentien <br /> and so ordered. <br />Alley bank of Stewart reported he had informed Don Julen about the Village <br />Rees Business Engineer's recommendation that the alley behind the Douglas <br />property Rees business property be repaired by patching and seal <br /> coating at an estimated cost of $300 to X350, He said <br /> Julep in turn called Mr. flees who declined to share in payment <br /> of the repair costs, suggesting that improvement of the alley <br /> be put on an assessment basis. <br />Boxir~?Exhibition, The Village Attorney's letter of June !~, 1957, was read, <br />State Fair relative to the request of Jack Raleigh, of St Paul, for <br />Grounds consent of the council to the staging of a boxing exhibition <br />at the State Fair Grounds during the first week of the State <br />Fair; The letter i.n effect expressed the opinion that the <br />State Athletic Commission could issue one licexise for Falcon <br />Heights but only after the council has consented to the <br />issuing of the license. It was agreed to so inform Mr. Raleigh. <br />Parking in <br />commercial area <br />alleys, street <br />numbers on <br />rear entrances. <br />It was reported that the Fire Department was agreeable to <br />making request or: the business men for streets numbers at <br />rear entrances to stores when fire inspections are made, but <br />felt the matter of prohibiti:ag parking in commercial alleys, <br />excepting delivery trucks, should be~handled by the police <br />department. Agreed to refer the matter to Police Commissioner <br />Arndt. <br />Liability coverage Letter of June 7, 1957, from the Mutual Service Casualty Insurance <br />for Vol. Firemen Company, of St Paul, was read statir:g: " the Volunteer Firemen <br />are protected by their own automobile insurance policy, and that <br />the interests of the Village are protected under the non-owned <br />auto portion of your liability policy on an excess insurance <br />basis." <br />Sewer costs The Clerk inquired as to what part of Ssaftary Sewer System _. <br />allocated Improvem®nt No.~l costs should be allocated to the ConstructionTl <br />account and what part should be allocated to Street Resurfacing. <br />The council instructed the Clerk that the basis for distribution <br />dfstuch_:~.oQSts should be 90 per cent for construction and 10 per <br />cent for street resurfacing, <br />Bills: On motion by Warkentien, seconded by Nilsen, the following <br />bills were ordered paid: <br />M <br />Donald E.
