~O <br />Resolution (cont'd) <br />Charles F. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village Council, Village <br />Schrantz of Faleon Heights, grant the request of Charles F. Schrantz to <br />variance construct said fence at a height and in such manner as described <br />request in his letter dated August !t, 1957, requesting said variance. <br />Reported Letter dated August 5s 1957, was read from A.E. Gerald, 1lt78 <br />damage West Idaho, relative to damage to his-drive when seller was <br />to drive installed in the street with request that the contractor be <br />by A.E.Gerald required to make suitable repairs. Utecht moved that the <br /> matter be referred to Trustee Nilsen for investigation and <br /> report. Seconded by Stewart and motion carried. <br />Elizabeth L. The matter of appointing a Deput~Village Treasurer to receive pre- <br />Steirnrall payments off Sanitary Surer System Improvement No. 1 assessments <br />appointed prior to certification of same to the County Auditor, was discussed. <br />Deputy Village On motion by Utecht, seconded by Stewart, the following resolution <br />Treasurer was adopted by a unanimous vote: <br />Resolution RESOLVED,~~t that appointment of Mrs. Elizabeth L. Steinwall <br />as Deputy Village Treasurer by Treasurer William E. Olsen, is <br />hereby approved, the employment of the said deputy Village <br />treasurer to be for the period August 15, 1957 to October 1, <br />1957, subject to the furnishing of a bond in the amount of <br />~%016~'a -$Q~A6~; and that the deputy Village treasurer's compensation <br />shall be determined by the Council. <br />Property south Letter from Ora C. Wood, 1525 W. Idaho Avenue, was read regarding <br />of Larpenteur the condition of the property to the north of their residence <br />along Arona and along Arona with request that-the owners cut the weeds, oil <br />and make other improvements as agreed to. After discussion, <br />Ora C. Wood and on motion by Shavor, seconded by Utecht, the Clerk was <br />complaint instructed to write a letter to Mr. Joseph Cohen, Northome <br />. Shopping Center, Inc., owner of the property, explaining our <br />agreement with Donald Julen, manager of the property, relating <br />to its maintenance and advising that the following improvements <br />as agreed to have not been accomplished to date: <br />1. Regrade borders beyond parking area and surface with black <br />dirt and plant to grass. (2) Revise grade on south side of <br />buffer zone to direct water away from the adjoining lots. (3) <br />Screen plant along Aroxaa. (It) Oil parking surface to eliminate <br />dust. (5) Eliminate weeds and keep grass cut. <br />Also to state in the letter to Mr. Cohen that since these <br />improvements as agreed to are long overdue, the Council rquests <br />they be accomplished by September 15, 1957 or it will be necessary <br />for the Council to invoke the Village ordinance which would prohibit <br />employee parking behind the business area. Copies of the letter <br />to be sent to Mr. Ora C. Wood and Mr. Albert Helbig. <br />M.G.I. License issued to the North Western Heating Engineers, Inc., of St Pahl, <br />No. 102 was approved on motion by Utecht, seconded by Warkentien. <br />Extra Order #3 Extra Order #3 to Peter Lametti Construction Co., dated July 31, <br />1957, in the amount of $83.73 for replacing sewer connection on <br />Hemline Avenue dust north of Iowa that was in line with main line <br />being laid on Hemline, was considered. Nilsen moved that the <br />Clerk b® authorized to execute said Order for the Village. Seconded <br />by Shavor and motion carried unanimously. <br />
