89 ~ <br />~J <br />1 <br /> <br />Culverts needed After discussion, Utecht moved that the Clerk be authorized <br />on xeat side of to contact the Armco Drainage and Culvert Company and order <br />Hemline (cont'd). the necessary items as set out in Mr. Steffes' letter. <br />Seconded by Nilsen and motion carried unanimously. <br />Removal of rocks, .Mrs. Steffes' letter of August 22, 1957 xas read relative <br />Snelling Service to removal of large rocks xhich became a problem xhen <br />drives stabilized, backfilling started, also reporting that the zest Snelling <br />FA-2 or FA-4 type service drives have been stabilized and surfaced, and east <br />coverage over large Snelling drives have been from Larpenteur to Hoyt, and <br />rocks in Ioxa Ave. recommending Minnesota Highxay Department aggregate of <br /> the FA-2 or FA-!t type for coverage over large rocks embedded <br /> in Ioxa Avenue from Arona to Hemline, brooming the aggregate <br /> over the street surface and following xith a steel flat tired <br /> roller. Shavor moved approval for use of FA-2 or FA-!t type <br /> on_Iowa Avenue as stated in the letter. Seconded by Nilsen <br /> and motion carried unanimously. <br />Street resurfacing It xas agreed to ask Mr. Steffes to meet the council at <br />inspection by the Village Hall at 6:00 P.M., Monday, August 26, 1957, <br />Council for the purpose of making an inspection of street resurfacing <br /> conditions in the Village to date. <br />Installation Copy of Mr. Steffes' letter to the resident engineer <br />of Street Stubs relative to the installation of street/ stubs at distances <br /> from the property line so as to clear a surfaced streets, <br /> xas read and discussed. <br />Instructions to Utecht moved that all surer installers be instructed that <br />Barret Installers the only time that sexer installation equipment of any type <br /> be alloxed to operate in the center 32 feet of the street <br /> (16 feet on either side of the canter line) is while that <br /> equipment is being moved from one location to another, anti <br /> in the event that it is necessary to turn the equipment around, <br /> no pivoting or skidding of xheels is permitted. Seconded <br /> by Stewart and motion carried unanimously.' <br />Sewer Installer's Approval of the issuance of Sewer Installer's License No. 1, <br />License No. 1 to Ken Schurhamer, of K & S Sanitation Service, St Paul, <br /> xas voted on motion by Warkentien, seconded by Utecht. <br />Extra Order No. !~ Extra Order No. 4, dated August 13, 1957, to the Peter Lametti <br />to Sewer Contractor Construction Company for removing one additional foot of top <br /> surface from the streets as listed therein and replacing <br /> with granular material meeting the specification requirements, <br /> a total estimated extra of x].,500., xas considered. On motion <br /> by Utecht, seconded by Warkentien, it xas voted unanimously <br /> to authorize Extra Order No. It. <br />State aid highway Letter of August 15, 195T from the Board~of-8a~eyCaunt~ <br />designation by Connefssioners relative to the Board designating State aid <br />County Board highways sub3ect to the approval of the Commissioner of High- <br />xays, and the required concurrences of Cities and Villages <br />in this connection, xas read and discussed. Shavor moved <br />that the matter be referred to the Village Engineer for <br />recommendation. Utecht seconded and motion carried unanimously. <br />
