~~o <br />A.J. Steirrnrorth fir. Steinworth inquired regarding his previous request to <br />re street light have the street light on Larpenteur near Fry Street moved <br />and Fry Street so as to improve the lighting for motorists turning off <br /> Larpenteur onto Fry Street. Shavor moved that the Clerk <br /> make written request on the Power Company to change the <br /> location of the light 300 feet west of Fry Street on <br /> Larpenteur to the intersection of Fry Street and Larpenteur <br /> Avenue, and if possible, place on the north side of Larpenteur. <br /> Seconded by Utecht and motion carried unanimously. Dir. Stein- <br /> worth also asked about keeping Fry Street passable. Mr. Steffes <br /> told him the street would be bladed and kept passable. <br />Record of service Engineer Steffes' letter of October 2l~, 1957, relative to <br />cuts by Power Co. the Power Company's installation of gas services in the <br />Water Dept. to Village and inspections and records required in this ~, <br />be kept by Village connection, was read. The letter stated: "A record <br />Engr. should be kept of all service cuts made by the Northern <br /> States Power Company or the Water Department of the City of <br /> St Paul so that if the trenches settle or do not withstand <br /> traffic and are to be repaired, we will be in a position to <br /> distinguish these from the sewer trenches which may show <br /> settlement in the spring. The responsibility for repair of <br /> the street surface must be confined to the party responsible <br /> for the settlement." After discussion, Utecht moved that <br /> a copy of the letter be turned over to the Village Engineer <br /> and that it be his responsibility to see that the roads are <br /> put back in proper condition and to~keep said records, and <br />that the Clerk inform the Northern States Power Company of <br /> the matter and ask that they report to the Village on all <br /> service cuts. Seconded by Stewart and motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br />Stabilization tests Letter of October 23 from br. Steffes relative to four <br />on Asbury from stabilization tests made on Asbury from Garden to Ruggles <br />Garden to Ruggles by the Twin City Testing and Engineering Laboratory on <br />September 6, 1957 was read, recommending payment of the <br />(Twin City Testing invoice in the amount of ~I~O. On motion by Shavor, seconded <br />Engr. Lab.) by Warkentien, the payment was authorized. <br />Lorch Bros. The Clerk reported receiving notice that Lorch Brothers, <br />gas installation of St Paul, had performed gas installation service at 1906 <br />matter N. Pascal without license as required by our ordinance <br /> and that he had no reply to his fitter of some time ago to <br /> the Lorch Brothers regarding the matter. After discussion, <br /> Stewart moved that the file be referred to the Attorney for <br /> handling. Seconded by Utecht and. motion carried unanimously. <br />Extra Orders Nos. 7, Engineer Steffes presented extra orders to Peter Lametti <br />8, 9 and 10 Construction Company with details as to each as follows: <br /> Total extra <br /> Extra Order No. 7 6 .~-4 <br /> Extra Order No. 8 596.71 <br /> P:~ctra Order No. 9 6,900.00 <br /> ~;xtra Order No. 10 1,592.39 <br /> After discussion, Shavor moved approval of said extra orders. <br /> Seconded by Nilsen and motion carried unanimously. <br />1 <br /> <br />
