9~;5 <br />Holton Street Utecht then introduced and moved adoption of the following <br />petition (cont'd) resolution: <br />Resolution - RESOLVED, that the request for variation in the building code <br /> dated November 6, 1957, signed by 39 residents of the Village, <br /> requesting a variation to permit sewer connections to be made <br /> to existing clay the piping underneath the houses, be and it <br /> hereby is granted, the council finding that the said variation <br /> rill not materially affect adversely health, safety or general <br /> welfare or public or private property; and that this resolution <br /> is passed under the provisions of Ordinance No. 17. <br /> Seconded by Shavor and the following vote taken and recorded: <br /> Ayess Utecht, Shavor, Nilsen, Warkentien, Stewart <br /> Nays: None <br />Passed by <br />unanimous vote. The resolution xas declared passed by a unanimous vote. <br />Gas service Letter of November 6, 1957 from our sanitary sewer engineers, <br />installations relative to the Power Company's plans to install gas services <br /> at 178ts Simpson and 1$35 Holton Avenue in the near future, <br /> xas referred to the Village Engineer for checking on backfill- <br /> ing operations, on motion by Shavor, seconded by Utecht. <br />Permit for <br />Gas mains Letter xas read from the Village Engineer dated November 7, <br />Hemline from 1957, enclosing request from the Power Compargr to extend <br />Garden to serve the gas main from Garden and Hemline north along Hanline~ <br />1807 Hemline Avenue to serve the property at 1807 N. Hemline. Shavor <br /> moved that permission be authorized. Seconded by Utecht <br /> and motion carried unanimously. <br />Street light, The Clerk reported that upon learning from the Power Compen y <br />Fry & Larpenteur that the street light on Larpenteur Avenue near Fry Street <br /> is a County light, he xrote the.County Engineer requesting <br /> that the location of the Aught be changed to the intersection <br /> _ of Fry Street and Larpenteur. Nilsen moved approval of the <br /> Clerk's request on the County Engineer. Seconded by Warkentien <br /> and motion carried unanimously. <br />Metering station Letter of October 31, 1957 from the Power Company xas read, <br />electric service enclosing a card to be signed by the Village for commercial <br />authorized lighting service at the West side of Hemline and Hoyt (metering <br />station). Utecht moved that signing of the application card <br />b® authorized. Warkentien seconded and motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />C.M. Stowe, Mr. Stewe's letter of October 21, 1957 xas read, stating that <br />195lt Autumn St. as a resident of Falcon Woods Addition he xould like infomaation <br />as to responsibility for payment oY assessments which might <br />Prior Ave.- become due in the event that the portion of Prior Avenue south <br />Falcon Wds Addn of Autumn Street is finished as a thoroughfare. Mr. Stowe xas <br />informed that a sum had been deposited with the Village sufficient <br />to complete this portion of Prior Avenue xhen the area to the <br />south of Falcon Woods is opened up. Also that angrone developing- <br />the area xould be required to put in sanitary sewer and pay for <br />it. <br />
