The proposal includes a petition signed by 75
percent of the Grove households that would be affected by the
change. Also enclosed is the $100 fee for filing the petition.
We understand that, in response to the permit request, the City
will conduct a study of the overall parking situation in the
Grove. Enclosed is a list of four other parking changes the
residents would like to have considered in the course of that
study. These changes would resolve problems arising from the
Grove's street layout and proximity to the University while
making parking restrictions in the neighborhood more uniform and
easier to enforce.
Representatives of the Grove Association would be happy to
answer questions from City's staff, Planning Commission or
Council members regarding the permit proposal and other
recommendations. Please call me at 645-3167 if we can be of
assistance.- We look forward to your response.
We also want to thank the City for its timely action to resolve
the snow-related clearance problem at the east end of Folwell.
The use of temporary sign changes to solve a temporary problem
demonstrates both flexibility and responsiveness, which we very
much appreciate in our City government.
Sincerely,
Jeanne Lupton, President
University Grove Homeowners Association
