• (b) ~ The minimum driveway angle to the street, at the <br />driveway opening, shall be 60 degrees. <br />(c) Setbacks. <br />(1) Driveways must be at least five feet (5') from any rear <br />or side lot line, except when a garage is being replaced at a <br />side yard setback of less than five feet under the conditions <br />of Section 9-2.04 subd. l (c) (2). Under this circumstance, <br />the driveway may be extended at an interior side yard <br />setback of less than five feet, provided that the new <br />driveway does not encroach further into the side setback <br />than the existing driveway. In no case may the new <br />driveway be set back less than two feet from the interior <br />side lot line. <br />(2) Driveways must meet the corner sideyard setback <br />requirements for garages in Section 9-2.04[1] (c) of the <br />code. <br />(3) Driveways shall not be closer than three feet (3') to any <br />single or two family residence or five feet (5')to any <br />multiple family building or commercial building. <br />(d) Openings. <br />(1) Driveway openings shall be a minimum of five feet (5') <br />from the sideyard property line. <br />(2) The minimum distance between driveway openings on <br />the same lot shall be 25 feet (25') where two openings are <br />allowed in the zoning code. (Amended 6/19/91, Ordinance <br />0-91-10) <br />d. All lots or parcels shall have direct adequate physical access for emergency <br />vehicles along the frontage of the lot or parcel from either an existing dedicated <br />public roadway, or an existing private roadway approved by the Planning <br />Commission. <br />e. Access drives shall not be closer than 20 feet to a corner. <br />f. A driveway access permit to a public road shall be secured from the public <br />agency with jurisdiction and maintenance responsibilities over the road, prior to <br />the issuance of a building permit. <br />• 13 <br />
