CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City <br />• Planning Commission of the City of Falcon Heights, Minnesota was held on <br />the 25th day of October, 1982. <br />The following members were present: Stefanson, Wallin, Blomberg <br />and Nilsen, <br />and the following were absent: Waldo, Bourquin, Chenoweth and Mead. <br />Planning Commission Member 1`~2.1~~n introduced the following <br />resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 82-5 <br />A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE CITY COUNCIL OF FALCON <br />HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA TO PASS A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE <br />MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO CLOSE THE <br />FRONTAGE ROAD ACCESS AT THE NORTHEAST INTERSECTION OF <br />LARPENTEUR AND SNELLING AND REQUEST LIMITED USE OF <br />SUCH RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />WHEREAS, Marvin Stillman, owner of a parcel of land lying northeast <br />of the intersection of Snelling .Avenue and Larpenteur Avenue and, <br />WHEREAS, Marvin Stillman is contemplating construction of a building <br />for retail business after the total loss of a portion of his retail busines <br />• by fire, and <br />WHEREAS, to utilize his property effectively the Planning Commission <br />is recommending certain variances be granted by the City Council, and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommends to the City Council that <br />Mr. Stillman provide adequate parking spaces, and <br />WHEREAS, to meet the recommendations the .Planning Commission requests <br />the City Council to pass a resolution requesting the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation to close off the service road at the northeast intersection of <br />Snelling and Larpenteur Avenues and further request the Department to permit <br />limited use of said right-of-way. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Planning Commission Member W~11in and upon a vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Commission Members <br />Stefanson, Olson, Wallin, Blomberg and Nilsen, <br />and the following voted against the same: None. <br />WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />• a <br />Alan J.
