Ms. Susan Hoyt October 12, 1992 Page 4 ongoing representation of a citizens' group to close down a large, turkey manure composting facility in Goodhue County successfully representing numerous individual citizens and businesses to obtain conditional use permits, variances, lot splits, subdivision and other development approvals advising the Moose Lake Windemere Sanitary Sewer District and the City of South Saint Paul on environmental and land use related matters representing several parties in responding to housing code violations representing several parties in establishing nonconforming use rights representing clients in responding to code violation misdemeanor citations representing many parties in leasing transactions and basic real estate matters representing the Minnesota Bankers Association, the Minnesota Society of the American Institute of Architects and others in governmental relations work at the State Legislature As can be seen from the above examples, I have a strong basis and background in day -to -day, municipal related matters. I pay close attention to detail and regard all my work, large or small, as important. In my work, particularly for the Metropolitan Council and the City of Minneapolis, I have substantial experience in understanding the politics and procedures of local government decision making. Having worked closely in -house with local government staff and policy makers, as well as having represented numerous developers and citizen groups, I believe I bring to the City of Falcon Heights a very balanced and valuable perspective coupled with the ability to provide clear and practical legal advice. I am admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Minnesota, the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, and the Eighth Circuit Federal District Court.
