Both Hank and Bill have worked very closely with law enforcement personnel.
Falcon Heights can be assured that they will fully support law enforcement personnel,
while at the same time helping to educate the personnel to emerging legal requirements
and shaping a productive atmosphere for community involvement with innovative
programs, if desired. Leonard, Street and Deinard will provide experienced, effective and
enthusiastic prosecutorial services for the City of Falcon Heights.
2. Number of Attorneys /Specialties
The firm has 109 attorneys with a wide range of specialties. Attached to this
proposal is a description of some of LS &D's practice areas that may be of particular
interest to the City.
3. Number of Paralegals /Specialties
The firm employs 25 legal assistants who have experience in the following areas:
public law, real estate, employee benefits, environmental law, banking, bankruptcy,
business and commercial litigation, construction law, corporate and business law, estate
planning, family law, intellectual property law, probate and trust law, products liability,
and securities litigation and tax law.
LS &D's ratio of one legal assistant to every four lawyers is one of the highest for
a Twin Cities law firm. The firm's support
personnel, which number over 150 individuals, is managed by Mary Des Roches, LS &D's
chief operating officer. Mary was formerly Comptroller for Minneapolis and Chief
Financial Officer for the University of Minnesota.
Support staff include secretaries, word processing specialists, receptionists,
information management and computer system specialists, library services, litigation
support, practice development, records management and recruiting. Our firm has been
recognized nationally for its integrated computer support facilities.
5. Office Organization and Support Capabilities
The firm is organized into two major divisions: Business and Litigation. Each
division is further segmented into separate departments in order to handle our client's
legal needs in the most efficient manner possible.
The Business division is comprised of the following departments: (1) real estate;
(2) public finance; (3) corporate and business law; (4) banking and business
reorganization; and (5) tax, estate planning and probate.
7
